Hey guys I'm back. Thought I'd try a bit of portraiture this time. Didn't turn out too bad.
Sorry for not posting recently. Painting has been the last thing on my mind. Was involved in a car accident and feeling bruised and in pain. Should be ok in a few weeks when I'll get back to my easel. Happy painting.
Decided to make some blank greetings cards. This is the first set of 10 with envelopes. Still got to get on to the printers yet but would anyone be interested? Let me know.

I was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire and I have always loved drawing. I suppose this came from my mother who was of the same mind. We were forever doodling on any scrap of paper we could find (especially school books for which I was forever getting rebuked for). I got an A Level Art in school but never went into any other media than pencil sketches until my mother was given an oil paint set by my father and I quickly ‘borrowed’ them. Married with two young boys ...I took art at Park Lane College doing a further educational course where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree. I still love sketching, especially now doing the fine line drawings, but my favourite media is oil paint. I love the way it flows and enjoy blending the colours on the canvas. I love waking up to the smell of turps in the morning. After losing our youngest son to cancer a couple of years ago my artwork dropped and I could find no inspiration. Lately though I have picked up my brushes and find more joy, and patience, and release through my art. I find it relaxing and it occupies my mind more than it did. I tried doing landscapes using the Bob Ross method and although I have not done any recently, still use his technique in my art. I am hopeless at portraits but it is another goal to aim for. I paint more for pleasure than profit but am not averse to selling my paintings. Now I use acrylics as well as oils. I tried watercolour but just couldn’t get the hang of it but I will keep persisting.
