People come to counselling for a variety of reasons; sometimes in response to life events such as bereavement or relationship breakdown, and sometimes because of unwanted thoughts or feelings that get in the way of life as they want it. Counselling can be short-term -often for a specific problem, or long term -where more deep rooted patterns can be explored through the building of a trusting counselling relationship.
