User

Stayed once or twice, and been to enjoy the sun terrace quite a bit. Really nice views of the Tyne and sun stays all afternoon/evening unlike outdoor areas on the other side of the river where it can get chilly in the shade. Also really well surrounded so there's not much of a breeze. Definitely recommend the nachos if you're looking to eat, as well! 5 stars!

User

Never had any problems, loved our stay and been here 3 times since. We always book a two course meal upon booking the room. Brilliant price! We upgraded to the executive room, and even got buffet breakfast. Free complimentary coffee and even a free bottle of wine. We got engaged here, and the staff were lovely and congratulated us with a free glass of bubbly during our meal.

User

Lovely warm welcome from the young man on reception nice room no issues at all plenty of room bed comfortable warm plenty of hot water good evening meal before going to strictly at the arena only a very short walk from Jury's car left in the jury's car park ยฃ7.00 for 24 hours all in all excellent stay very helpful and approachable friendly staff Thank you

User

Just had an overnight stay at thls hotel. Great location, fantastic view of the Tyne, spotless hotel, great Reception staff who couldn't do enough to help. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Well done team Jurys Inn. Thank you for making our trip so memorable #lovenewcastle

User

I stayed at the here for a few days in June and I loved it. The staff here is amazing! They were all very kind and helpful! I'm from California and was not at all familiar with this city and the staff recommended the best places to go while I was there. They also recommended great places to visit for the next city I was heading to. I was very grateful for their help, I ended up visiting places they recommended and having an amazing time. The room was very clean and nice. They have a restaurant here and the food was delicious. They also have a bar inside right next to the restaurant and there's a beautiful view right behind the hotel. If you're in Newcastle and looking for a hotel I would highly recommend this one.

User

Great location good value nice clean room recommend if visiting Newcastle

User

We stayed here for New years eve last night, was lovely and clean nice rooms, staff was friendly, great breakfast. Only blip was car parking small car park was full so had to pay ยฃ1.80 an hour all through the night which ends up expensive when your parked for 18 hours next to the hotel.

User

Very friendly staff no problems at all lovely room, comfortable bed had an amazing night 2nd time Iโ€™ve been here and I will definitely be back ๐Ÿ˜Š

User

Staff were very efficient & friendly & upgraded my room without fuss when someone entered my original room with their card. Food was good & breakfast good value for ยฃ10. Quite location but close enough to the city centre. My only complaint was my room was very cold & I could not fathom out the heating/air conditioning unit.

User

Nice hotel but the room was freezing cold on the coldest weekend ever ! the heating/ air con apparently cuts out anything over24 degrees and takes a while to reset ... ours didnโ€™t reset all weekend even after several calls to reception... donโ€™t think it was value for money not what I would expect for an executive room

User

I stayed here with two friends and four young girls the staff was very helpful, they couldn't not do enough for us. The girls had a buffet which was ment to feed four but there was lots left over! As it was I nice day we all sat outside next to the Tyne and had drinks, a lovely spot and a great hotel keep up the good work! We will be back :)

User

Had a 2 night stay and was great. Had breakfast which was ok . Didn't eat in the evening at restaurant but had few drinks in bar. Staff all pleasant and friendly. Room clean and beds comfy. Would use again.

User

Stayed here on sat, room was nice but the bar staff were run ragged, under staffed and went for breakfast food wasnโ€™t topped up quick enough went to get something and half food run out

User

Staff were very helpful particularly Samuel who went to great lengths to get our cocktails made correctly after a rather unfortunate first attempt at them. Room was very nice but would have benefitted from having a rubbish bin in it. Most annoying aspect was the lack of parking space at the hotel. Car park is very small and only 2 rows of parking spaces available, which for the size of the hotel is ridiculous. We had to use the adjacent carousel and this cost us ยฃ26.90 on top of the hotel charges. This is the main reason we would not re visit the hotel in future.

User

Ive already emailed yourselves about this. I had to ask the receptionist where i could park my car as your tiny car park had no spaces, i was told i could park outside the hotel.... i left your hotel this morning to only find i had a ยฃ70 parking fine, no as YOUR staff said it was fine to park there Iโ€™m looking at yourself for some sort of compensation to help along with this fine!

User

To start on a positive note the staff are very friendly. However car parking is a lottery with 200 rooms and spaces for about 30 cars with no provision for discounted rates at nearby car parks. Executive room is executive in price only - would be a standard room at any other hotel. Now to cap it all off there is no hot water to have a shower! Never ever heard of a hotel running out of hot water before!

User

Noisey air con. Staff banging about outside at back at 630am. Kids running up & down corridor banging o doors. Both mornings was asked in restaurant about payment. We said we paid when checked in was embarrassing with people behind us in que. One of lifts out of order sat night when alot of people arriving back at hotel at concert. Still not mended sun morning. Only good thing was location .

User

Very disappointed. Vastly understaffed, all the staff looked harassed apart from those on reception who were indifferent. The overnight stay was ok, but the breakfast was poor. Dirty tables not cleared ready for next guests, had to ask repeatedly fir my table to be cleaned. Booked a small meeting room for the day fir training sessions, stained carpet, stained chairs, tea and coffee was Kate at each sessions and arrived in scruffy, sticky labelled dispensers.

User

Booked two nights......Friday night and Saturday night for my son and I as a special treat for him to go and watch Newcastle United. Stag groups were apparent from booking in and some at the reception waiting to book in were already under the influence. The noise on the first night....drunken shouting and swearing that was at its worse between 3 am and 4am, made for a sleepless night. After the match, we came back to the hotel and decided to book out and drive home rather than suffer another sleepless night caused by alcohol fueled noise and bad language. I paid for two nights, and even though I told the receptionist the reason why we were booking out early, I was not offered any recompense on the bill. ....so had to pay the full amount. NEVER AGAIN...that was my first and definitely last visit to Jury's in Gateshead Quays. I have stopped a number of times just along the quay at the Hilton....with no problems whatsoever. That's where I will go again next time I am up in Newcastle
