And this is what happens when we train our own dogs!

User

People ask if we teach other people's dogs as well as our own.
The answer is yes! But rather than normal "classes", we offer one-to-one Scentwork training in your own home.
So whether you have one dog or many, can't attend regular classes but want to still learn to play the game, or your dog is uncomfortable being left in the car, or away from home - send us a message, and we'll work out the best way forward for you and your dogs.

Exciting times for people who don't want to imprint the "normal" trial odours!

**AN ABSOLUTE MUST-READ!** Shared from Richard Lemon
Your dog gets absolutely nothing out of being competitive for you. Not a darn thing. Of course dogs are bred for specific jobs, or they’re bred to be athletic to a certain degree.
They have no idea how much money is added to the pot. They have no idea that this is a qualifier. They have no idea that this is the World.
... And DESPITE us... DESPITE our nerves, our flaws, our incorrect cues, our huge emotions, they get the job done to their very best ability. Even when we fail them by letting our emotions get in the way, they come back and they try again. For US. Let that sink in. If only we could all be so understanding.
To think of an animal that is forgiving and flexible enough to put up with the repetition of practice, the intense nerves of the handler, the stress of hauling and they will still meet you at the end of their lead ready to go is MIND BLOWING. If you haven’t done so lately. Thank your dog
If you’re successful, thank the dogs that put you there and made you. Thank the dogs that gave everything they had for you simply because you ASKED them to.
If you’re still on the journey to success, thank the dogs that made you fall in love with your sport and who have helped give you the confidence to want to learn more and be better.
We can never stop learning as dog men and dog women, and by continuing our education. Every dog in our future will be better off.
Next time you head to the club, leave your ego at the door and thank your dog!"

You can't turn your dog's nose off, so why not use "normal life" situations to develop the skills used for you detection work :)
Interesting article (even if the title does remind us of that "nose blind" advert 🤣)

This weekend I am in Essex with Medyg and the awesome people from British Mantrailing Academy.
We passed Module 1 of our Mantrailing Handler course! #trustyourhound #honestynotego... #livingthedream
And now we're crashed out in our hotel, because it's actually quite tiring this learning stuff, and a 110 mile round trip every day just pushes me over the edge...
I think Medyg is enjoying his break from Project Magpie as well 😜

Because it's not about "being the best", but about giving your dogs the tools to become your best partner in crime 😍
