It’s a rare day off and I’ve enjoyed pottering around in a friend’s woodland, building a bar and tables ready for a small festival I help put on there....AND for some upcoming supper clubs and cookery workshops I’ll be hosting there....details TBA soon!
Halloumi fries are back tomorrow at @streetdiner ! Doused in zingy lemon tahini sauce, pomegranate seeds and herbs, and served with my range of salad and dips.
The rain’s stopped, the sun’s out and @streetdiner is on today! Sadly, I can’t make it, but there’ll be other excellent stalls down there, serving up from 12 till 2. I’ll next see you there Friday
The sun has just popped out in Brighton! So, quick, get down go @streetdiner for some lamb shawarma and other Middle Eastern delights
The weather’s looking great for this Sunday, so why not come down to Brighton’s best brewery and bar @hollertap @hollerbrewery to enjoy excellent beer and food?!
Brighton foodies, get your street food fix TODAY at @streetdiner , now running every Tuesday through June. I’m not there today but go down and support all the other excellent stalls who are. I’ll see you there next week!
Attention all beer and food lovers! I’m back at @hollertap this Sunday offering up halloumi fries, toasted @mamoosh_bakery pitas and lamb shawarma: marinaded and slow-roasted leg of lamb, pulled from the bone. All served with a mouth-watering array of Middle Eastern salads and dips
All ready to go at @floralfringefair ! Perfect lunch for a day like today: fresh, colourful Middle Eastern salads bursting with flavour, creamy hummus, spicy harissa and borekas: little pies of loveliness!
All ready to go at @floralfringefair ! Perfect lunch for a day like today: fresh Middle Eastern salads with an explosion of flavours and colours, creamy hummus, spicy harissa and borekas: little pies of loveliness!
Exciting news #brighton ! Street Diner , THE place to get the best street food in the city, will happening on Tuesdays as well as Friday’s!
This evening’s dinner. The little reddish blob on the right of the plate is by far the best harissa I’ve ever made (or even tasted), and it’s all thanks to a recipe in the very good @berberandq cook book.....highly recommended for lovers of both Middle Eastern food and bbq-ing
It’s never too rainy for a BBQ! I’m stood in the drizzle, grilling lamb chops from Mays' Butchers & Farmers (with a lovely spice run) and sweetheart cabbage (which’ll be doused in Mestó Artisan Olive Oil, caramelised butter and chilli flakes). We won’t be eating this outside though!
Foodies of West Sussex! My stall will be at The Floral Fringe Fair at Amberley Museumthis weekend selling my range of Turkish and Middle Eastern salads, dips and borekas (very more-ish mini pies)
Having a great weekend at @elderflower fields ......I’m not trading here, just coming as a punter (tho I did supply 400 tubs of hummus for their communal picnic.....that was a mission and a half!) This picture sums up the vibe pretty well this evening
I’ve been busy making hummus this week for @elderflowerfields festival, AND I’ll be selling tubs of it tomorrow at @streetdiner .....200g tubs for just £2.50. Mine is made Lebanese style: just chickpeas, tahini, garlic and lemon juice beaten to a smooth, creamy paste. Goes perfectly with @mamoosh_bakery pitas, which will also be available tomorrow!
The sun’s out at @lewesfarmers market, and it’s a perfect day for Middle Eastern salads!
Had a fantastic day on a Hunter:Gather:Cook course in a gorgeous woodland near Lewes.....foraged for edible wild plants, skinned and butchered rabbits, lit fires with sparks and fungi (really!) and finished with making elderflower, strawberry and gin cocktails. And got fed extremely well by the great team of chefs down there
