Following on from reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, today our toddlers have a Butterfly Garden in the Poppy Room where they can observe the stages of metamorphosis from caterpillar, through to chrysalis and butterfly.

Messy Tea Party in the Poppy Room.
Following on from the children’s interests we are having a messy tea party today in the toddler room.
Areas of learning... Expressive Art and Design - exploring materials and colour change. Physical - Handling. Personal, Social and Emotional Development - Social skills and sharing Learning our colours and role play.

The staff in our Poppy room have this morning been busy creating a sensory wall for our toddlers with lots of different textures to touch, prod and squish!
Sensory play is a great way to engage children to help heighten senses and enrich learning and an activity such as this can easily be extended into the home environment.

Hello everyone!! The children in the Bluebell room have a marvellous new messy play kitchen but are looking for the following items to add to the fun-
Mixing bowls Baking tins and trays Mixing spoons... Measuring spoons Rolling pins Pans/pots Sieves/colanders Any other interesting kitchen items 🥣 And also some metal toy cars 🚕🚗
If you have any of these items at home that are not being used, we would love them 😀😍 thank you in advance 👍
