We are seeking caring, compassionate and reliable individuals to support people within their own homes and assist them to be happy and safe, while providing high quality care.
We are looking to expand our team of excellent Home Care Workers in the North Walsham, Stalham, Martham, Wroxham and surrounding areas.
Previous experience is not essential, as we will provide you with training and support to gain experience and confidence.
... The Home Care Worker role can be varied every day, to meet individuals different needs and requirements, and promote person-centred care.
Duties can include;
-Assisting with personal care. -Meal preparation and monitoring fluids and food. -Administering medication. -Safe moving and positioning procedures. -Social and recreational activities. -Shopping trips and light domestic duties. -Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.

Today is a sad day for all of us here at Kare Plus Norwich as we say goodbye to a dear friend who we have supported for almost 3 years
We will be celebrating the life of a true gentleman who sadly passed away in December, and in the time we have known him he touched the hearts of everyone who came into contact with him.
Andy (pictured) along with other members of the Kare Plus team will be going to pay their respects to a wonderful man we had the pleasure of providing suppor...t to, and our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
We have been asked to thank the staff by the immediate family, for the dignity, thoughtfulness and friendliness shown at all times. And it goes without saying we are immensely proud of each member of care staff.
We know how much he enjoyed the help we gave him, and that is the reason we are in care. To make a difference in any way possible.

#kptree We received this lovely hamper today from the fantastic team at Kare Plus Towers in Telford.
The whole Kare Plus network were invited to submit pictures of their Christmas tree's with the chance of winning a luxury hamper, and we only won it !!
Its fair to say our tree has been well photographed this month, with Elf's, Babies, Staff in Christmas outfits, an inflatable Turkey, even dogs and it all helps the very busy festive period run with a bigger smile than normal, ...though not sure how many more times we can bear to hear Registered Manager Rachel singing along with the Pogues and Christmas in New York !!
Beverley (main decorator of the tree and office decs) is pictured with the hamper alongside Rachel, now we just need to find a home for it.......................

Not long now..................
As you can see Santa's little helpers have been very busy, over 70 Christmas boxes packed and ready for delivery to a very special group of people! Our way of saying thank you to our staff, who are out and about in care homes, nursing homes and of course peoples own homes, delivering the very best in healthcare. Now we are almost ready to start delivering over the next week to our care staff. Many of whom will be working on Christmas day and Box...ing day and then again on New Years day. Having time with their own families as and when, the office is open and it is service as usual everyday for Kare Plus Norwich team, and indeed most care workers across the sector, so respect and love to them all. This is not an Amazon advert.............. They certainly don't need any help with that from us. You have probably seen the TV advert when the gentleman who acts disinterested in Alexa then requests the song Valerie ?
Well meet Kate, a client of ours for over 2 years now, Kate is a delightful lady who has a 24/7 carer help her with her everyday needs. When some of our staff noticed she was finding it harder to operate her trusted radio which offered her contact with the outs...ide world, (her MS was making it too difficult) especially listening to BBC Radio Norfolk, where she is a reasonably regular caller especially when the topic of social care is being discussed. They suggested we do something for her, and one thing Kate is not, is afraid of technology. So we got together and managed to buy her an Amazon Echo, and since we introduced Kate to Alexa there has been absolutely no stopping her, the first thing she did was call up George Ezra and has been listening to him to quite a bit, as well as things like the weather, she has even been using Alexa to help her brush up her French language, she spent many years in Canada where French is very widely used as the main language in certain area's, have to say her French does not sound rusty to us. We think its fantastic when technology can be used to make life better in such a lovely way. We are always listening / looking for ways we can help our clients and make a difference outside of the normal routine, and there is no better way than our staff giving suggestions on what we might be able to do.

ROCKING AROUND THE #KPTREE
Friday 6th December is officially Elf Day, in aid of Dementia awareness organised by the Alzheimer Organisation, Elfs automatically make people think of Christmas and it is known that dementia sufferer's will recognise this. So Kare Plus Norwich mascot Colin called in a few of Santa's helpers in to help get the right atmosphere, as we build up to the Christmas period. So a bit of fun, and along the way we have raised just over £100 for the Dementia ...fund, and we have the visit of the Dementia Tour bus to come early in 2020. So if you see lots of Elfs out and about today say hello, it really is in a great cause, some of the may look like care staff, in which case them a big hug. No babies were harmed during this production and all appeared with full approval of their families, #Alzheimers #DementiaFriends #KPTREE #familychristmas

Blessed are they.............
Is a poem of thanks given to us by a service user, to share with our wonderful caring stars who brighten up the lives of those they look after. We have it on display in the office next to our Christmas Tree, which we felt was the right place to have it on show for everyone who enters our offices at this time of year, Christmas is a time for family, for sharing, for giving and for reflection and being thankful for what we have. Its getting to be a a lot like Christmas..... Today we were delighted to be able to visit a longstanding client of ours Peter, who is a lifelong Norwich City fan, and we presented him with a framed signed shirt from Canaries legend Iwan Roberts, a framed photograph of Iwan with the shirt (for authenticity) and a signed book "Promotion winning Canaries" from author Peter Rogers. Peter who is 86 years of age and has been a client of ours for 16 months, and is now bed bound hasn...'t seen the Canaries live for over 10 years but his passion for the club is as strong as ever, and he still listens to every match on his radio, Peter was over the moon (a football pun), especially when we told him that City Legend Iwan has asked if he can visit Peter to say hello in the next couple of weeks. The idea to do this was born when one of our senior members of staff Andy, asked if we could do anything to help Peter feel closer to his beloved Canaries. We would like to thank, Iwan Roberts, Norwich City Fans Social Club and Peter Rogers for helping us in making this a special occasion for Peter. Kare Plus Norwich, delivering care with a "K" care with a difference. Peter is pictured with his other favourite team, our staff. And he has agreed to us sharing this story with you.

Its starting to feel a lot like Christmas.......
The office is getting in the Christmas spirit, the tree has been dusted off, the decorations polished and the silly hats are making an appearance, thankfully some of the office staff carried on working as usual. On a serious note, this is a time of year when care workers really come into their own, darker days and colder weather and yet the true professionals wont let their clients down, and many will be working this Christmas ...over the bank holidays and deserve all the recognition they get, and we intend to give them as much as we can. We at Kare Plus Norwich hope you are all preparing for your for festive season in a way that is important to you and your loved ones, hug those close to you and tell them how much you love them, you never know when it could be your last Christmas together. Also if you know someone who lives near you who is on their own just give them a check and ensure they are okay, a kind word and a smile can warm the coldest of hearts.
