Karuna Manor Description
Karuna Manor is designed to provide a home from home for our elderly community with highly trained, caring people on hand 24 hours a day to provide excellent nursing and specialised care.
The setting is one of luxury, serenity and comfort. Bespoke facilities include a temple, a tranquil garden, a cinema room and a hair salon, whilst daily life will be enriched by delicious vegetarian food and stimulating activities.
Situated in the pleasant suburbs of Harrow it has excellent bus, rail and tube access from Harrow, Wealdstone and surrounding areas, as well as having good road links via the M25, M1 and M40.

This morning we took some of our residents to Brent Cross shopping centre 👜, whilst the other residents participated in a yoga lesson by volunteer Nina.
In the afternoon we watched the film Sajaan in our cinema 🎬 and celebrated the birthdays of our resident Jarini Baa and residents son Ameet Jogia 🎂
At this afternoons cooking club, we asked our residents what they would like to cook or bake.
One of our residents said Shiro and gave us her recipe. She said she loves eating this sweet dish and remembers making it for the first time when she was only 16 years old!
She went on to demonstrate how she likes to make Shiro in our lifestyle kitchen and gave all the other residents a taste of her sweet creation!
Our residents made some pretty tissue paper flowers during our arts and craft session this afternoon 🌸🌼🌺
On a Sunday afternoon, our residents like to play board games, card games and jigsaw puzzles 🧩
Wishing our resident Narmada Baa a very happy birthday 🎂

Once a month our residents get a day dedicated to them. On that day, every head of department will go and see that resident and ask if they are happy with the services. The chef will cook their favourite meal and the well-being coordinator will try and make their wish of the day come true.
Today, our resident of the day asked to sing the morning Aarti.
Along with board games and jigsaw puzzles, we also encourage our residents to learn and play touch screen puzzles on the 📱
This helps with improving hand eye coordination and stimulates the brain 🧠
This morning we took some of our residents on a trip to the Hare Krishna Temple in Watford.
In the afternoon we watched Andaz Apna Apna in the cinema 🎥 , carried out flower arranging 💐 and celebrated the birthday of our new resident Mrs Patel 🎂
One of our residents really enjoys listening to old bollywood music and loved the songs sung this afternoon at our New Years Party 🎉

We welcomed 2019 in style by hosting a New Years party for our residents. They enjoyed the live bollywood band and even danced!

Our residents have had a busy Saturday playing quoits, target games, jenga and listening to bhajans in our temple.
Today our residents participated in Oomph! Exercises, Fruity Friday and bingo.
We also took some of the men to our local Indian restaurant so that they could eat and socialise together 🍴

Our residents were visited by Santa’s little helper today! She went around spreading love and Christmas cheer 😃

As soon as you enter the Home you are greeted and welcomed in very friendly way. The atmosphere is super and the staff are very kind and caring. All our Lionesses felt the same - when we came to do the Rudri Puja, Bhajans and assisted at Janmashtami celebrations. We are particularly thankful to Mandira Bhimjiani for her friendly and professional approach. Well done Mandira and keep up the good work.
