What a fantastic way to say thank you to a dedicated doctor after more than three decades of service to the patients of this Cropredy surgery. We'd like to add our voice to the praise for Dr Judith and say a huge thank you for thinking of Katharine House and helping encourage support of our work. We'd also like to say thank your to everyone who showed their appreciation and donated in lieu of a retirement present, your gifts will help us continue Dr Judith's legacy, providing support to local communities.

Have you seen our new film?
It tells you everything you need to know about coming to our hospice and the care we provide out in the community in three short minutes.
It also shows you fantastic fundraisers how your hard work baking cakes, running marathons and climbing mountains helps support hundreds of people facing life-limiting illness every week.

Good luck to Sarah Evans who is off to climb Kilimanjaro raising funds for us and also challenging herself in the lead up to a milestone birthday (we won't say which :)). Sarah's dad spent some time with Katharine House at the end of last year and Sarah has said that she's '... raising funds because I want to say thanks for the care my father received...". The Katharine House team wish you good luck and hope you have an amazing time. If you'd like to support Sarah, you can find her Just Giving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sa rah-evans133. Here's Sarah training in Scotland on a recent holiday

A huge thanks for this fantastic, action packed photo of Issy, Finn, Daniel and Pete raising money for Katharine house and PSPA at a soap box challenge in June. Issy's Grandpa passed away in the care of Katharine House last year and he had PSP (Progressive, Supra-nuclear Palsy). Issy's team won in their category and raised around £500, a fantastic achievement! Issy said; 'We are so grateful for all the support you gave us with our grandpa, we wanted to give something back.' Thank you Issy, we're glad that we were there to support Grandpa and your family. He'd be very proud of you all, I'm sure!

To everyone attending Cropredy Festival this weekend, have a fantastic time, eat, drink (responsibly), and dance (lots), and don't forget to visit our volunteers at the festival who have a stand selling raffle tickets and all kinds of stuff to raise much needed funds to support people in the area with life-limiting illnesses. Have a dance or two for us :)

We're thrilled to share with you our brand new video showing you what our hospice is like.
If you ever need to visit the hospice, or know someone who does, it'll show you what you can expect.
If you've run, baked or cycled to raise money for us, you can see how your fabulous hard work has helped countless people in your community.
... With thanks to Fresh FX for their generous support in making the film.

We have the pleasure of having Mandi as the palliative care nurse for our father/father-in-law for the last couple of months. She has been a great help and gave such lovely support. We couldn't have asked for any better than her. The staff on the end of the phone were also very helpful and polite. Thank you all so very much. ❤️

The care we received as a family from Katherine House is almost beyond words. The place is an amazing oasis of calm that guided us through the most horrific time of my life, they gave me back my husband for a day or 2 as the calm washed over him and me.

He could not have asked for better - you went above and beyond. He had dreaded this time but ended up wishing we had come to stay sooner.

He would say thank you if he could. But as it is, it is left to me to say thank you from the bottom of my heart - from both of us, for all you did for us.
