I offer a proofreading and copy-editing service to ensure that your essay, CV, application letter, website or other documents make a good first impression.

Clear, concise and correct English can make all the difference to your business, your job application or your academic work. A text with spelling and grammar mistakes can give a poor first impression to clients or prospective employers.

I am a languages graduate and have ten years experience as a languages teacher in U. K. schools. My experience as a teacher means that I have not only developed a keen eye for detail, but am also able to provide you with professional and helpful comments on your writing.

If English is not your native language, it is very hard to spot your own mistakes. I can edit your document so that the language sounds completely natural.

The services that I can offer are:

- Basic proofreading - I will read through your text and remove spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary errors. I will ensure the formatting of your document is consistent and, for academic work, I will ensure that your referencing has been done correctly.

- Proofreading and editing service - I will proofread the text and remove errors and typos, and will also suggest minor changes which will improve the clarity and style of your writing.

- French to English translation - I have a BA (Hons) in French and German from the University of Durham. I am currently retraining as a French>English translator.

Prices will depend on the length and complexity of your documents but will start at £9 per 1000 words for proofreading.
