On the train this morning, a scruffy, slightly squiffy older man on the train didn’t have a ticket, the guard was asking where he was going and if he had any id, when the two young Geordie teenage girls piped up, “how much is his ticket?”, and got out their purses obviously to pay for him. The guard replied he didn’t know, I think the man didn’t know himself as he was a bit worse for wear, but the point is they cared, two young women made me proud to be female, when all of the other men in suits said nothing and put their heads down. If they’re the future for womankind, I think we’ll all be more than ok #internationalwomensday (in the end the man scarpered at Darlington and could be last heard shouting randomly at people on the platform, but hey)
