This is my 6/52 #52enamels2019 I am really enjoying working on enamelled dogs and this one is probably my recent favourite. Last week I took him to @focusgalleryng1 where he’s ready for their reopening day this Wednesday. I was so pleased to keep texture in this piece before the kiln smoothed it all away. Love is in the air! Valentine’s is around the corner and then it’s Mother’s Day! I’m currently taking orders for unique Mother’s Day gifts, message me for details.

I thought it would be helpful to model my new range of earrings so you can see the size of them. I’m making them in a wide range of colours and I can take requests. Eventually I’ll get them on my Etsy shop but for now feel free to pop me a message if you’d like a pair.

I get a little giddy with excitement and anticipation when I deliver my work to anyone be it a customer or gallery. Today was no different as I took my work to the very special Focus Gallery NG1 on Derby Road in Nottingham. They’ve been going through a refurbishment and reopen next week on 13th February.

What could be better than starting the week learning a new craft and taking home your creations! Places still available on this half day 10am - 1pm enamelling workshop.

Introducing my new enamelled earrings. I’ve been really excited about these. They’ll be available in a wide range of colours. The earring backs are silver plated and they’ll come in a gift box.

I’m often saying to students “don’t worry when it cools the colour will return” the magic of heat and the transformations during cooling are always fun to watch. This dachshund went almost black then dark into light maroon. The tricky bit is when you see a colour you like and it changes!

So pleased to have finished enamelling these earrings today. What do you think? I’ll be adding silver plated earring backs to these then they’ll be ready for new homes 😉 Lots more colour combinations planned 😃

These earrings will be finished this week, looking forward to getting the kiln fired up tomorrow.

Here’s a bit more information with my enamelling workshop dates for Feb-June 2019. More dates will be added later in the year. I’m happy to add additional dates too if you have a group of friends and would like a bespoke date.
I’m based in Selston near junction 27 of M1. I’m holding enamelling workshops from my studio.
All my workshops are suitable for beginners or anyone wanting to further their skills.
... You’ll have the opportunity to create your own enamelled Jewellery or pictures. I provide all the tuition tools and materials.
I’m offering half day workshops for £30 including materials where you’ll make 2-3 pieces or full day workshops for £45 plus approximately £15 for materials, where you’ll make at least 4 pieces, or may come with a project in mind.
You’ll take home everything you make on the day.

I had a piece made for my partner for fathers day from our girls. It was absolutely amazing and he loved it :)

His favourite colour is orange so I asked for some in the piece and it is beautiful.

I wanted something special for him from out daughters and this was perfect.

I asked Katie to create a special piece for my mountain bike loving husband's 40th birthday. Not being the easiest customer (having little idea of what I wanted- just the idea that I wanted something to to with his hobby!), she came up with something beautiful based on a photo of him she had found online.
