Author Katy Chalk (Kathy Elkins), BA(Hons) & research MA in Classical Archaeology & Comparative Literary Studies, debuts exciting book The History Sphere.

Katy Chalk (Kathy Elkins) was born in 1948 in St Albans. "The History Sphere" is her debut book and has been on the back burner for a long time. She has always loved writing and has had a special interest in History since her school days. Having spent over thirty years in the NHS, initially as a nurse and then as a Department Head, she left the profession in 1997 to attend Kent University at Canterbury at the age of 50, achieving a BA(Hons) and research MA in Classical Archaeology and Comparative Literary Studies. After a period presenting history workshops in schools she decided it was time to indulge her lifetime ambition and so "The History Sphere" was born. She is married to Peter, has a son and daughter and they live in Kent. She has three grandchildren and the book was initially written for her eldest, 10 year old Olivia, the heroin of the story.
