We had our wedding here on Thursday. What can I say, gorgeous place and our wedding coordinator Joanne was so helpful and always on hand if I had any questions. The food was fantastic and the day ran smoothly.

I've given five stars because the goods outweigh the bad by far but I do have some small negatives. I had bought and wrapped favours for children and bought little rucksack bags with goodies in for the toddlers. The bags were left in their locked zipper bags with my writing sprawled all over them clearly reading "to go on back of high chairs" which looked messy. One of the wrapped favours were also missing so one child had nothing. My maid of honour asked where it was and was told by the staff repeatedly that everything I had provided had been put out. The next morning I found the unwrapped favour in its original box, where all of the others had been together that I had dropped off myself a couple of days prior.

My brother in law didn't get his main served and the best man had to go out and find someone to get it for him, and my dad was missed on both occasions when drinks were being refilled so I had to shout across to a waiter to ask for him to have another glass of wine.

Everything else was fantastic about the day until the complimentary taxi, it has made a great story which people have laughed about when told, but we were told our taxi was ready by the staff, there was one taxi on the courtyard which we got into and this man had no idea where he was going. We had to help him with our phones, and we ended up being dropped off in the wrong place and were walking around in the dark around the lanes trying to find our way to the management centre where we were staying. He also asked us for money when we stopped. Luckily Keele Security somehow found us and took us to the right place, I'm not sure with no phone signal as to whether the bride and groom would have slept in a bed!

I would recommend it to others as long as service improves during meals a little, and that the staff are 100% certain that their taxi drivers know where they're going at the end of a very long day!!

We had our wedding at Keele Hall last October and the experience had been amazing. Customer service was superb-kudos to Carol especially. Coordinating our wedding from Singapore was a challenge , but Carol helped us a lot in so many ways. I was on the bridezilla mode for months yet she took it all and delivered my dream wedding, meeting my needs (and wants!). That's gold service. And yes, the food was exceptional on our wedding day and dinner service was seamless. Thanks guys! - The Harris

We had our wedding at Keele Hall at the end of August and I would most certainly recommend to any couple looking for a wedding venue. Our wedding co-ordinator Carol was absolutely amazing as was the duty manager on the day, Charlotte. All of the staff were incredibly attentive and we were all really well looked after. A beautiful venue with breathtaking grounds. Thank you for making our day magical.

Though I was a tad disappointed that we couldn't sneak up to the attic rooms where our philosophy tutorials were held (a looooong time ago) it was nice to be back.

It has been spruced up a bit since my student days and the staff were lovely.

Very helpful to myself and my partner, a wheelchair user; they went out of their way to help us.

The food was lovely too (again an improvement from my student days!)

NB The shrubs round the dog graves could do with a prune.

Most of the people know Keele Hall to be a beautiful setting for weddings or special events in general. But not many know that just passed the entrace of Keele Hall there is a restaurant ('The Terrace') open daily for light lunches or a 2-3 course meal. I sometimes go for some lunch (usually for the fish and chips or occasionally the burger with home coleslaw and chips) and a walk around the campus. The main menu changes every month, while there is a selection of mains that remains the same throughout the year. Remaining faithful to its standard, the only down point is that you have to book the day before (at the latest), but it is a very small price to pay for a delicious quick lunch. And the desserts are always to die for!

Me and my husband got married Easter weekend last year at keele hall. It was an amazing day and also the run up to the wedding was brilliant too. Always welcomed whenever we wanted to have a look at our venue, and nothing was too much trouble. Our co-ordinator on the day was Alan. He was brilliant at settling my husbands nerves and always seemed to appear at exactly the right time. As the weather on the day was dreadful, Alan informed us that as the night was drawing in that they would roll the big mirror across the window and light the candles that we had in the candelabras on the tables. It looked absolutely magical and everyone was left speechless just by the hidden mirror that we hadn't told them about. Not only is the venue amazing, but so is the food. We had the soup to start, beef for main and chocolate truffle pudding. The beef was more like a piece of steak rather than slices of beef which we were very impressed with. Not 1 single person of our wedding party had any complaints. If anyone is planning a wedding I would recommend keele hall any time. Not only is the hall stunning itself, but so are the grounds. If you get good weather on the day, the pictures will be brilliant in the gardens and down by the lake. The review on here only allows me to put 5 stars as a rating, but this venue is definitely a 10! If we could have our special day again, we would and we'd go to keele every time.

Everything about the place is amazing really. The history is never ending, the gardens, the lake, to walk around gets you imagining what it must have been like all those years ago. I'm very lucky that I have been able to have a little personnel tour and although when I went downstairs ( below stairs!!!!) it was very spooky, It was great.Everybody works hard in the upkeep of the hall, gardens, etc. x

Lovely location.

Food good.

Lots of space so no-one was 'trapped'.

Only downside was the grumpiest barman ever.

Cold bottles and pint glasses straight out of the hot wash. Bad mix!
