A beautiful sunset over Kelham this evening! 🌅

We were married at Kelham 2 weeks ago and I can honestly say choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made. Not only is Kelham a really beautiful setting, the food and rooms are great and the staff are absolutely incredible. Fran, Lucy and Daniel in particular were so supportive, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The team here really did make our day everything we had hoped for and more. I cannot thank the team here for the best day ever. We are so grateful. Xxx

We had our wedding here yesterday and it was absolutely perfect! An absolute beautiful venue for anyone looking to get married! The member of staff who looked after us all day (Lucy I believe her name is) was absolutely fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. She constantly had a smile on her face and was always asking us if we needed anything and if we were ok. She worked a really long shift so was with us throughout the whole day. She couldn't do enough for us and even told me off for trying to clean the highchair! Thank you Lucy (hope I've got the correct name) you made our day so lovely and lots of guests commented on how fantastic you were.

We had our amazing wedding here 21/9/17 from the moment of booking the venue and reviving a beautiful bunch of flower which was such a lovely surprise to checking out the day after our wedding all the staff at Kelham was incredible!!!! I found the entire experience absolutely stress free and so much easier than the horror stories you can hear! The friendly and helpful staff on the day were amazing as was the food so thank you to the kitchen aswell. Thank you so so so much to everyone who was involved. Our wedding planners were extemley helpful throughout the organisation and on the day, the day and night staff especially dan made our day so perfect and even tho the wether was horrible that didn't effect our day at all. Everyone worked so hard to make it an unforgettable day! Thank you again! If your unsure where to hold your wedding do it here!!!!! Much love Steph and bill x

We got married here on 8th June and I literally cannot think of a single reason why anyone would give Kelham less than 5*! From questions we had pre booking this venue right through to on the day, the team here we fantastic and so helpful. They knew exactly what to do every second to make our guests feel welcomed. The amount of compliments we have got from family and friends regarding the lovely staff, beautiful venue, comfy beds and the amazing food (compliments to the chefs!) Is overwhelming and you should all be really proud of running such an amazing establishment :) thank you so much for making our day so special and making everything so perfect! The staff at Kelham House were fantastic at our wedding yesterday, especially Lucy, Dan & Ellie. Nothing was too much trouble, service quick at the wedding breakfast and the food was delicious. The wedding coordinator was also very quick at responding to queries running up to the event. The only downside is that the room is fairly small and the band did have to adjust their equipment to avoid echoing so do make sure you build in time for testing of equipment on your wedding day.

Thank you SO much, Our wedding on Saturday 27th May was absolutely amazing, Thank you to Fran & Grace for being there throughout the planning and again Fran on the day & all the rest of the staff you was all amazing we couldn't of asked for anymore, Thank you for all the nice comments about our wedding the - cake decorations flowers everything you all said such nice things about, makes us feel great to know all our heard work paid off to make it look so beautiful on the day, Nobody had a bad word to say and felt so at ease sharing our day at kelham house :) even the morning breakfast was great, again amazing and a big thank you xXx

Neal & I held our wedding at Kelham House on Saturday 21st April, the whole day was perfect from beginning to end. Fran our coordinator was a pleasure to deal with and Ellie, Harry and the girls took perfect care of us on the day always being on hand in case anything was needed. For our wedding buffet we had the BBQ option which was totally amazing with an abundance of the locally sourced produce being left over at the end, chef you did an excellent job. I can only allocate 5 stars here but you all deserve so many more.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Kelham, you all contributed to making our day just perfect.

Just had a lovely belated valentines meal was delicious warm bread can’t fault the duck and pork belly and amazing deserts and free presseco !we are looking forward to our wedding day here x

In 2014 my husband and I started planning a wedding! We looked at so many venues and Kelham came out top! 2015 we had the momentous joy of saying our vows in the stunning venue with gorgeous surrounds and the day went off perfectly. The staff were amazing. The one person in particular that helped our day go so smoothly was Fran, she had a fantastic attention to detail, was so helpful throughout the year of planning it and was a reassuring face on the day! For that we were both so grateful.

12 months down the line we decided to celebrate our anniversary here, as this place hold such treasured memories and to our delight Fran was here too. She as ever was warm, welcoming and so friendly, she reminded us again why Kelham was so right for us. Fran thank you so much for the help in planning our day and then being there one year later to celebrate with us again and your fantastic attention to details! See you next year!!

I'm a bit slow writing this review, but we got married here in may. Everything about this venue was perfect, the correspondence and planning queries was quick and efficient with fran and grace. The day itself was brilliant with lucy and daniel being superb (I'm pretty sure it was Daniels first week too) but they were both polite and so helpful and always made sure me and my husband had a drink! A beautiful venue with wonderful staff......i wish we could do the whole day again!

Had the best day for our wedding a couple weeks ago. From the first time we looked around at a show round Sunday, we knew it was the place for us. We had our ceremony, reception, wedding breakfast and evening do here and the organisation from Ellie and the staff made it all run very smoothly - especially with the snowy weather! Fran and Alicja were amazing with the planning leading up to the big day and were so patient with all our questions. Perfect venue, inside and out, with very friendly and attentive staff - wish we could do it again!

Beautiful building and surroundings. Great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Lovely tearoom setting with good service. Totally enjoyed it.

18 months ago we booked Kelham house as our wedding venue we loved it from the very first time we looked around and finally got married here on the 14th August. From the moment we met Fran she couldn't do enough for us, from late night emails to making sure everything ran just perfectly on the day she is brilliant at her job! Thankyou to all the staff that looked after us on the run up and on our wedding day too. Kelham house is a beautiful venue to get married at and we would deffinatly recommended here to anyone. We really did have the best day of our life's thanks again.

The hotel looks nice from the outside, inside is ok but needs updating. Bar area where we had a bar meal was absolutely freezing. The room was fine, but the windows were full of condensation next morning. Staff quite young and when we checked in they did not give us any info regarding breakfast we had to ask. Food was lovely.

Went here for my partner's 60th Birthday along with 3 others on the 12th of june 18.

When i originally booked for afternoon tea / lunch, i informed Kelham house we would also like to see the full lunch menu as some of my guests might want something other than afternoon tea, i was told that was fine.

Upon arrival & waiting, afternoon tea was served to us but no lunch menu! I didn't say anything as i didn't want to spoil my partner's birthday, but unfortunately what was served was not very good, nothing like the pictures, nothing was really fresh, sandwhiches, scones etc, probablly made some time earlier, if not the day before! the 'jam' was, well not jam, some form of liquid! The tea & coffee was free flowing but we had to continually ask for top ups.

I did message you after the event giving you the chance to perhaps recitfy this, but you never responded.

A very disappointing day & not worth all that money.

We stayed on the night of the 15/02/2017

Room 9 in the coach house bathroom floor had been worked on but needed redoing the bathroom door didnot shut and the floor tiles were loose also bottom row of wall tiles had been removed and replaced using the broken tiles there was also a lot of dust in the room

We were there for a wedding although everyone enjoyed themselves there were a far few areas that could be improved

1. During the meal the waiters all stood around we felt waiting for everyone to finish asap this should not be done only the head waiter should be in the dining room when all guests have been served

2.The evening buffet was put out and taken away very quickly no one in the room was informed the buffet was being removed the d.j. should have made an announcement 15 mins. before it was removed

3. When the disco finished at 12 midnight the hotel staff started to clear tables and ask us to leave and goto the bar area this should not have been done it seemed very rude

4. The bell it is over the top a smaller one would be better it was like being at school again

5. The breakfast we arrived in the dining room at 8.30 am , the orange juice was nearly all gone i managed to just about get a glass full out of it other guests arrived after me and it was not refilled

We had to wait 5mins before anyone from the hotel came into the dining then we had to ask as they were leaving the room for some tea. another 5mins passed before we received it and our orders taken,the breakfasts arrived which were of a fairly good standard but as we were finishing the side bar was cleared of everything again giving the impression that we needed to leave asap

I have stayed at some exellant hotels and some really poor ones Kelham House would be somewhere in the middle

Terrible service... our room was supposed to be ready from 2 p.m.. we were there for a wedding meeting at 2.15 p.m. our room wasn't ready till 2.15. After speaking to the manager there was barely an apology. Luckily another wedding guest had paid £25 to have their room ready early so we were able to get changed there. Which was better than the disabled toilets offered as an option by the hotel staff.

We paid £160 for a room that was not ready at the said time. The wake up call in the morning was ten minutes later than the said time.

Really small choice of drinks from the bar.

My friend and I visited your very attractive establishment today for a little treat . We had purchased a classic afternoon tea from Groupon. I'm afraid I won't be recommending you to my friends as although all the items served were very tasty and served by very polite and friendly staff , your portion sizes were a joke . The food is not representative of what was pictured. When I shared the pictures on my Facebook my friends thought they looked like off cuts or the bits we couldn't finish with the exception of the cold scones! What a shame for such a lovely setting !

After speaking to the manager there was barely an apology. Luckily another wedding guest had paid £25 to have their room ready early so we were able to get changed there. Which was better than the disabled toilets offered as an option by the hotel staff.

We paid £160 for a room that was not ready at the said time. The wake up call in the morning was ten minutes later than the said time.

Really small choice of drinks from the bar.

Lovely building and venue but terrible management.

My friend and I visited your very attractive establishment today for a little treat . We had purchased a classic afternoon tea from Groupon. I'm afraid I won't be recommending you to my friends as although all the items served were very tasty and served by very polite and friendly staff , your portion sizes were a joke . The food is not representative of what was pictured. When I shared the pictures on my Facebook my friends thought they looked like off cuts or the bits we couldn't finish with the exception of the cold scones! What a shame for such a lovely setting !
