Wow what a amazing birthday meal we had ok was a Sunday lunch for my daughter karas 23rd but well worth the 160 mile round trip will defo be going back for mine the sweet was great too and staff very helpful thank you xx

Went on Thursday steak night, 2 steaks and a bottle of wine £29.99 really nice, staff lovely, great ambience, would return and recommend.

We booked for breakfast for a large hen party group yesterday morning. There was a dedicated area ready for us on arrival & staff were quick to take drinks orders. Considering we were such a large group, the food didn't take too long to arrive and everyone really enjoyed their breakfast. The perfect way to start off a day out in york - thank you very much for the hospitality!!

Wandered in to Kennedy’s today for lunch during our visit to York. The place has a really great decor & vibe. The young guy who greeted and seated us today was really lovely & his service was absolutely on point. We took up the suggested 2 for 1 burger deal and were not disappointed! Chips were also really really good. I have a feeling the guy who looked after us might have been the supervisor on duty, as I overheard him training up a younger girl on the coffee machine during our lunch - and he was doing a fantastic job supporting his team too! Clearly an outstanding member of staff. Thanks for a great experience & keep up the good work ��

Visited for lunch and Prosecco on a lovely sunny day in York. Fabulous to be able to sit outside. Steak sandwich and home cooked fries were delicious. The service is excellent and the staff extremely friendly. I knocked over my glass and they gave me a free glass of Prosecco! Well worth a visit 😃🍾

Visited for food with my fiance on Monday evening and really can't fault the place. The service was fantastic, and the food excelled all expectations. I had an allergy which I forgot to mention at the time of order, however they couldn't have done enough to help when I asked them about it when the food was delivered. I'm not sure why some people are complaining on here about the length of wait for food. Yes there is a bit of a wait. However everything is cooked fresh so what do they expect? If you want fast food, go to Mcdonalds. If you want great, fresh cooked food, then go to Kennedys. Will definitely visit when next on York.

Searched TripAdvisor for steak restaurants in York, it was between here & The Whippet. We chose Kennedy’s as Thursday night was 2 steaks for £30 including a bottle of wine. When we walked in it wasn’t what we thought (posh steak restaurant), but so so glad we chose here. The steak & chips were beautiful! And the peppercorn sauce so creamy. One of the best, if not the best steak meals I’ve had. The people working here are super friendly & we had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend

Lovely meal yesterday in York with family. Fish and chips was to die for....tender white fish and batter which melted in the mouth!



Very friendly staff and relaxing and ambient atmosphere. We'll be back very soon.

Lovely food and decent price, I had the chicken wrap and my 2 colleagues also enjoyed their meals.



Tip - go upstairs and eat outside, even nicer in the sunshiiine 😆😆😆👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Friend had gin with fresh blackberries and strawberries in too, we sat outside in the sun, lovely friendly place rather pay bit more for my drinks to have lovely friendly service with added fresh fruits ���� immaculate toilets too we defo be back ��

Awesome cooked breakfast in here this morning. Very good value for money full english with a pot of tea for £7.95. Lovely waitress very friendly and food tasted lovely. Will definitely be going back.

Went up to roof terrace for a beer and it was pretty grim. Smelt of fat from the kitchen, flies everywhere so we sat out front on the road and it was much nicer. Beer was nice.

Food ok service slow for food would be better if Sunday lunch was not swimming in gravy should be served separtley in a jug nice sun terrace

Visited yesterday for coffee and a snack. 3 of us having cake 1 wanted toast...all drinks and cakes arrived (nothing special), after waiting 10 mins for toast we chased to be told food was a 45 min wait - but defo not told this when ordered! Service was dismissive and just about polite. Disappointed.

Had Sunday lunch. Not very hot 1 piece of broccoli meat was good but over all not that much on the plate. And it was cold in there even the waitress kept rubbing her arms. Not pleasant when your cold and having lunch. But the staff was nice.
