Ken was extremely helpful! The prices were the cheapest in town and the routes he suggested were beautiful. The best bicycle ride I've had in decades! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
This was a great place to rent bikes. Ken was very helpful, both over the phone and in person. His prices were the best we could find. Independent business, ran with heart and soul. Cannot fathom why there is a bad review on here. Would highly recommend!
Ken was very friendly and found us three bikes perfect for our needs to ride up to Reculver. When we were done it was very easy to return the bikes and lock them up. Great service, thank you Ken.
We rented bikes from Ken over the August Bank Holiday weekend. We received a first class service that went beyond our expectations. Ken delivered the bikes to our hotel in Broadstairs and picked them up the next day at times of our choosing. The bikes and kit were ideal. We regularly rent bikes across the country but our experience at Kens Bike Shop has easily been the best so far.
I was visiting London on business and took the train over to Margate on a Sunday to rent a bike and ride the Viking trail. Ken's Bikes is an easy walk over from the train station and just up the street from the Viking trail. Ken was very kind and professional and the transaction was quick and easy. He rented me a cushy, heavy 3-speed, but in hindsight, I should have requested a lighter-weight 21-speed. I'm a seasoned biker and hoped to do the whole 32 mile loop. But apparently there's a big difference between what the Brits consider flat terrain and what a Miamian considers flat! I encountered some pretty steep hills where I had to get off and walk because the bike was so heavy and 3 speeds just didn't cut it. I rode to Ramsgate and back and it was a beautiful ride. I'll definitely go back and will rent from Ken again. Oh also, I left my driver's license behind and Ken very graciously and generously mailed it to me in the US at no charge. A true gentleman.
Great service! Mr Wilson is a wonderful, helpful and joyful person and made our day in Margate even more pleasent and adventurous. Will definitely return to both the town and Kens Bikes.
Jan 11th 9.45 a.m I discovered I had a wobbly back whee. on my bike. After a bad experience with his competition in Westbrook I called Ken. At 10.35 he picked the bike up from my house in Westgate. He repaired the broken spokes,reconditioned brakes and gears AND cleaned the bike.
At 2.30pm he called and brought the bike back to my house. Really affable guy,great service and reasonably priced. I will not be going anywhere else.

I have purchased and hired bikes for my family and foreign students from Kens Bike Shop for many years, and I can say he provides an excellent service at all times. Very polite and reliable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I had a punchure on the way back from one of my daily rides and I went looking for a bike shop that could do a repair so I found ken's bike shop on google and stopped by there; well it was the worse experience I had ever had! The man in the shop, who i am assuming is ken was very rude to me told that I could not afford his repair price of 12 pounds when I said I didn't have any money on me as I had just come from a ride and could I leave the bike and call back for it later and was very insulting was not about to have him repair my bike and I am wondering if he was being so rude because of the colour of my skin, I guess not a lot of black people go by his shop and even when I first turned up and even before I said anything to him you knew he thought I was going to be a problem. I would not mind if I was that type of person but i have a university degree I dont work as I sold house and I made a killing and probably have more money than he could shake a stick at! RACIST! Ken if you read this never judge a book by its cover and I will be putting you all over my youtube channel, my instagram, twitter and Facebook as the bike shop not to go to!
