Visited on Valentines day. The place was booming but you know you came to the right restaurant where there is a large queue - it was worth the wait! Immediately when taken downstairs to additional seating place, we were served by a very friendly and polite young gentleman who we believe was a manager on duty. Our crepes were delivered in timely manner and the shakes were delicious - especially strawberry one! Overall-the service, atmosphere and restaurant - really enjoyed and loved every bit of it and will be returning very soon. Either with my friends, husband (again :) ) or relatives! Thank you Kensington Creperie <3
Loved the crepes here! We all got a different kind so we could sample as many as possible. I had the apples and cinnamon. It was crazy delicious! Our waitress was a delight, and despite there being a lot of people there we were seated immediately. We have a family of 6, and this was the first time we were seated so quickly!
I was surprised to read all that bad feedback to be honest! I am not French, nor English ... just a person amongst lots of others who stopped for a nice desert and I was really pleased with the service and the crepe I had even though I asked for apple, cinnamon and maple syrup and had pear instead of apple 😊 When I mentioned the mistake to the guy who served us he apologetically offered to bring me a fresh one with apple. I chose to have the pear one and was completely satisfied with that. I my opinion the place is quirky and products delicious, in fact I'd go to extent of saying that it was one of the best crepes I had and I have tried loads previously 😊 For such an unfavourable feedback the place was still very popular 😏 Wish we'd have something similar in Worcester! Well done guys
Fab location, lovely to sit outside. Pancakes and waffles were out of this world. Great coffee and great service - thank you!
Best pancake I have ever had in my entire life!! Thank you for chef!!
Awesome crepes! Must try while in London!
I have been going here for years. I love the menu although I do miss the ice cream parlour element. Staff are always friendly. Food is always delicious.
The food was okay but not exceptional. My plate, glass and fork smelt of raw eggs/ uncleaned dish and cutlery. I’m a bit put off by that therefore I would not go back for more...
Not the place it used to be. Quality is suffering, dark chocolate and fresh fruit crepes no longer a choice. They had a fresh OJ machine, yet they said they didn't have fresh OJ. But I saw others getting it. It was all strange. Used to be a favorite place of ours. Now it's a far cry from the quality and choices they had 15yrs ago. Whoever took it over, has not kept it up. It's "OK" but not a place I will go now regularly as I used too.
It was OK. Pancake was heavy but nice filling... very expensive but like most things nice to try but only once methinks.
Always wanted to go here when i lived in london! Finally went and it was ok! Good menu but my pancake wasnt hot and not much peanut butter! Prices are not bad!
Savoury Crepes were dry and over cooked, think the choice of flour is poor quality. Sweet crepes were a slightly better. I'm very disappointed. Won't be returning. Only saving grace were the friendly staff.
Poor quality ingredients, pancake very thick and overpriced, sweet pancake is better but there used to be dark belgian chocolate, not anymore. This is obviously not a real crêperie but a touristic spot, go to La petite Bretagne in Dalston thats the real thing from Britanny !
Disappointed today; no croissants so had a Lemon & Sugar pancake with my very small latte... heavy pancake, nothing like a French crêpe, with hardly any lemon. When the bill arrived it included a whacking 12.5% service charge instead of the customary 10% (and it's not even a restaurant, just a café) and when I asked for it to be rounded down I was ignored!

I've been visiting this overpriced crêperie for years, out of habit, but no more!
Definitely gone downhill. Been great in the past but poor service, had to ask for menus after several minutes seated. Had to ask for drinks, for plates to be cleared, virtually ignored. Wrong orders came out and had a huffy waitress. Refused to pay the automatically added service charge. Shame as the food is great but much reduced menu too.
Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience at Kensington Creperie.
I was overcharged for the waffle I ordered, on the menu for £5.95 and charged at £6.50 When I questioned this they only agreed to take the extra money off the optional service charge they add to the bill.
When we refused to pay the optional service charge, the waitress was very rude and just went off to speak the manager and then came back without a word and sorted out the rest of the bill without an apology.
The additional money was not taken off my order despite my request, so I ended up paying the extra 55p - not a huge amount but for me it's the principle that you should be charged the price on the menu. Also not happy with the way they tried to force us to pay the optional service charge.
Not at all impressed.
This was the place to go to a few years back for a delicious crepe. Seems like something has changed since I last went. The crepes were terrible and felt like something I'd get from a high street cafe who didn't know a thing about good food. Very sad turn of events. Plus no more pepperoni either on the menu
My French friend and I have a tradition of visiting this creperie when we go to the museums and have been coming here for years. We were surprised on our latest visit that the menu is much smaller and all the meat is halal, in a place like London I would expect halal to be one of the choices not the only choice because some people object to the way animals are slaughtered for halal meat. The savoury pancakes don't taste as good as they used to, horrible texture (different flour) and flavour and we couldn't wait to leave. I've given one star and that was for the staff who were amazing, very friendly and attentive and concerned that we were disappointed. We were told that a new company had taken over and now it's their way rather than what the customer would like. I don't know if this review will reach the owners or if they are even concerned but I will be exercising my right to choose by not visiting again and finding a new place to eat with my friend.
Have been going to this restaurant for 10 YEARS with my friend and it's always been nice food. Lots of choice, move crepes, good ingredients. I went there with my friend on Saturday and my jaw dropped. Choice was very limited, and all meat was HALAL. This is Britain not Saudi Arabia. You impose your religious beliefs upon other people, it's disgusting. The food was horrid, am French and utterly appalled they call that crap 'crepes'. Will never go back. The star is for the nice staff.
