National Youth Organisation

Kent Army Cadet Force (Kacf) Description

THE ARMY CADET FORCE (ACF) is one of the UK’s oldest, largest and most successful youth organisations, Consisting of more than 47, 000 cadets in around 1, 700 local detachments across the country, the ACF helps young people between the ages of 12 and 18 develop both personally and physically by providing a range of opportunities, challenges and activities, We have a long and proud history of preparing youngsters for all walks of life and encouraging an active involvement in local communities.

The ACF is not a recruiting tool for the Armed Forces but seeks to promote a sense of understanding of what the Armed Forces' roles and responsibilities are.

Cadets of all abilities and backgrounds that are able to access the majority of our activities are welcome.

We develop young people physically and mentally, improving self-confidence, teamwork, friendship and leadership through a wide diversity of fun, exciting and adventurous opportunities.

We also aim to develop a sense of community in our cadets.

Summer Dress.
Today (1st April) is when Summer Dress starts.
Sleeves rolled up neatly. If you are new and do not know how to do this then please ask your senior cadets at your units and they will be more than willing to help you.

I've only been a cadet for a few months and I've loved it from the start, Kent ACF is a good start to a military career or even if you just want a public service GCSE

User

I've been in cadets, for just under 5 years, and what an amazing experience it has been, I've made so many friends along the way, and have had many great memories made, I recently just did my 3* and it was the best time of my life!! I recommend cadets to everyone you learn so much.

User

I was a Lydd Army Cadet , I loved it , every youth should apply it could even be a stepping stone to a military career :-) Tried encouraging all my own children but they didn't :-(

User

Great service for our youth. Very well ran and very professional

User

Site is ok but would like to know how we can post Photos of work that the cadets do in real time.
