Within our beautiful Murrain Woodland we have the perfect habitat for the Giant Horntail. They may look and sound scary but they are completely harmless. Have a read about them on The Wildlife Trusts website below #woodlandmanagement #wildlife #education

The Kent County Show is a showcase event for farming, countryside and rural life. The three day event brings together the very best of Kent with animals and food, fun and excitement and above all a sense of what ‘The Garden of England’ has to offer, for the whole family. Come along and help us celebrate our 90th Show.

Sometimes all the best plans don't take in to account an occasional random act! This is the strange story of how one Dutch couple ended up displaying their 1970 Citroen DS vehicle at the Kent County Show. Cees Berkvens and his wife Reny had planned a holiday to the UK and saw that the Kent County Show was on in July, too late to enter their vehicle they decided to book the caravan park and enter as a visitor. What a Great Day, everything and even more than we expected. So well organised from the parking to all the events. A big THANK YOU to all the hosts and exhibitors.

User

The Kent county show, is one of the best in Kent, I have been going for year's, evey year more and more fun too see so much in one day, great value for money, too something for every one at all age,s too enjoy , if you have never been, please do so, truly a great day out , very educational for all too see and explore, I would highly recommended the show

User

Sunday was the first time to the county show. Had a lovely day so much to see and do. The grandchildren loved the animals. Also made it special meeting family there some had come a far as Ireland and Northampton. Plan to make it a yearly event .

User

I arrived really early so i could see as much as possible and then took my seat to watch the The Household Cavalry who were magnificent despite the heat and then stayed and watched my favourite showjumping and they put on a splendid show. All in all it came up to my expectation. Only complaint was having to pay £9:50p for a cappuccino and a bacon roll - a bit steep me thinks as on Wednesday I had taken my son for his birthday to the tour of RFU Twickenham and the brand new museum. Before we went we paid a visit to the William Webb Ellis pub in the high street and my son had the traditional English breakfast 2 of everything plus a tea and I had scrambled eggs on toast plus a cappuccino and both came to the price of my bacon roll and cappuccino !!!!!!!!!!

User

Had the most fab day spent the whole day there and came home with so many goodies! My daughter had an amazing time we will definitely be back next year!

User

Geran and i would like to thank Lisa Heggarty, Bernard Pike and Andy Edmonds for making it possible for us to attend the show this year, we were looked after really well and very much appreciate the arrangements that were made for us to attend, we would also like to thank the electricians Dominic and Sean for regularly checking on us twice a day to ensure we were ok, thanks to all of you we had a great weekend that wouldn't of happened without your extra work.

User

Arrived early Sunday morning,

Fantastic car Managment,

And what a super day in the show, there was

Something for everybody,Five gold stars 🌟

heading your way,_

User

Another fantastic show, something for everybody.

Such a great atmosphere . All though extremely hot it was a welcoming sight to see so many stall holders providing bowls of water and paddling pools for dogs . A special thanks to the hawking center

Who once again made us feel very well come , terrier racing a blast and their displays were both very educational and a pleasure to watch. Kent police all so deserve praise , taking the time to educate and have a chat. All very well organised throughout.

See you next year .

User

Love the show as always. Problem this year went on Sunday and the car parking organisation left a lot to be desired. We ft there were youngsters working and we felt they needed more training there was no clear signals and cars were going in all directions with little direction. It was only the fact there was not as many cars as previous years that saved the parking from being a complete fiasco. I agree with other comments that there did not appear to be as many stalls as before. Don't let t the show deteriorate as it is a great day out. I think moving the fun fare and flower show this year was a great idea and I think that really worked.

User

Last minute decision to go yesterday arrived 230 ; traders disappointed as very quiet by three o'clock .

My suggestion would be on the Friday at least , or possibly all weekend , why not have reduced price for later entry ? £23 pounds is a lot of money anyway and if you only go for three hours . Also no discount for NHS staff , that would have been a nice gesture for local NHS Kent staff .

User

Grand day out. Little one loved it. Only complaint was lack of cheese and cheese makers ? Apart from cheese makers of Canterbury, nothing. One welsh and French stands and that’s it.

User

Excellent day out. Arrived early on Saturday 7 July and was pleasantly surprised as entry to car parks was easy and well controlled by volunteers. Quieter than expected perhaps because of the heat and football scheduled for 3.00 pk kick off . Loved the horse guards who must have been incredibly hot on their uniforms. Plenty of food outlets to choose from and shade for the display animals. Would have appreciated access to free water, like is legally required in restaurants etc, as £2 for a small bottle costing 25p in supermarkets extremely expensive for family of four.

User

Our annual trip to the Kent show since we moved to Kent some 20 years ago, in theses 20 years the show appears to have become smaller with fewer stalls but more spread out. No KCC (Kent County Council) - you would have thought the local authority would want to be present at their counties own show? Police, Fire and Army were absent too. Their stalls were always crowd pullers.

Agriculturally there seemed to be less livestock this year, I know the hot weather might if put farmers off, and not as many stall represented them either.

Sounds like I'm having a downer but if your charging £23 per adult per day then you need to get some of the old favourites back.

User

First time for myself and the missus yesterday (Saturday 7th July). We arrived about nine o’clock in the morning, £46 for the pair of us, you don’t even get a program free within the price that’s £3 extra. It was very hot and To be honest to hot for animals to be parading around, the overall experience was pretty good but the toilet are in dire need of sorting out, and majority of the people there were friendly, the atmosphere was great.

User

Don’t bother pre booking your tickets as you still have to queue with everyone else and it only saves you a couple of pounds. Wasn’t as many food stalls as normal and didn’t manage to watch any dog agility as no times available. Thought it was very expensive this year and they need to bear in mind that families don’t just consist of 2 adults 2 children. I still enjoyed it but it’s not something I would go to every year.

User

It's a shame that I was very disappointed this year. loads of empty space not as many stall holders. Not very good value. if you want to save the show maybe reduce the cost and stall holders fee. This show has been running for many years. This can be a good event let's not lose this.

User

Distgustingly over priced! £50 for a family ticket and even if brought ahead online its still £45 😲

We made the most of it, seeing the animals, watching pig racing and looking around stalls. But i cant get over how £50 entrance fee is justified!??

This was our first trip to the county show and was pretty disappointed by the cost, and it seemed alot of it was very overpriced.

I'd hoped for a nice day out with the family and possibly something we could do every year, but i went home feeling like i'd been mugged.

I had a look online and found that in previous years ticket sales have been down, only went up again last year, and up again this year (forgive me if im wrong). I know i certainly wont be visiting again till the entrance fee is dropped quiet substantially! And I'm sure im not the only person that feels this way😔

User

Total Rip off this year £23.00 entrance fee and not half as many stalls and actractions as previous years a lack of cold drink stalls within the Food areas in the Food Hall the bar between the main entrance doors tried to charge me £5.00 for half of Sam Miguel larger. I have been going to the Kent Show for over 18 years now and this is the worse year ever.

User

Took nearly 3 hours to get out of the car park at the Little Mix Concert on the 22nd July, 2018. Many cars had young children in them, on a hot evening there was no water or toilet facilities for these youngsters.

Buck up Kent Showground and get organised, this thoroughly spoilt what had been an excellent event.
