Kent Event Centre - you really need to improve on staff and traffic control exiting the event also the manners of your staff - whoever authorised your car parking attendant to jump in front of moving vehicles to shut a gate needs reprimanding and if no one authorised this the man himself should be delt with in the correct manner not only was he putting himself in danger but other around him.

You exit signs were absolutely appalling (none in car park ‘red’) yet many cars got abuse from your parking attendant because they weren’t following the exit sign to which every single person replied “what exit signs”

I appreciate this was a very large event but I think the parking attendants need to understand they will not win against a 2 ton car, with them running all over the place was just utterly dangerous! Up untill the exit you did an amazing job but this is certainly something I think you need to take on board on put procedures in place. Exit signs that people can see being number 1 .

User

Little mix were fantastic. However the management of the car parks were HORRIFIC and DANGEROUS. (Collection car park). We were queued up in lane 4 as expected and had cars deciding to create their own lanes causing everyone to be sandwiched in next to each other, god forbid if there was any emergencies!! Will not be returning for future events, will stick to 02.

User

Worst experience ever! Little mix concert. You knew that waiting times were going to be over 3 hours for food and drink! Disgusting. Still stuck inside the grounds 2 hours after the performance ended. No control measures. Lack of empathy. Screaming children all in tears! Shame on you!

User

Such a shame that organisation was so poor at end of the night. 40mins to get back to car due to lack of planning and then the car park queue to get out. Poor lighting and lack of Marshall’s in key areas proved for a scary return to the car for young families!

User

Never again should you attempt an event of this size. Unless you are prepared to spend a little of the moneys you raked in on organisation and proper security.

Little Mix were great. The support acts were fantastic. The atmosphere was amazing.

But you failed in every other aspect to provide adequate safety and organisation for 30,000 people you charged tickets for - so event playing should have stepped up for 30,000 people. Twice the capacity for the 02 we were told last nights events catered for. Not one police officer on site that I could see. The poor car park attendants at the final crisis were left dealing with members of the public taking things into their own hands after a two hour wait to get to that point - with no adequate queuing system in place to get 30,000 people out of one gate - you are a joke. The fast majority of the car parking attendants did NOTHING. We came prepared for the wait with pillows, food and drink and well done for Four Jays for the loos being serviced BUT you are not capable of this kind of event. Loads of money pocketed. Your security was appalling and witnessing some of your contractors having to jump in front of cars to prevent further accidents from occurring is not something I wish to ever witness with my kids again.

User

Little Mix were fab but security were diabolical. During through concert they lifted over gypsies into the area where we were standing, not giving a damn about us that had queued ages to get near the front. A row broke out between the gypsy mum and a few of us in the crowd. The security did nothing. Absolutely disgusting and disgusted that children had to witness it all. Children were crying and everything. Extremely poor. Took us an hour to get back to the car as they didn't open all exit gates and now expect a 2+hour wait to get out. Wouldn't come here again due to security measures.

User

Little Mix and the supporting acts were amazing!! The rest was just an absolute shamballs.

2.5 hours to get into the event when it should have taken 20mins.

Over an hour to queue for drinks and when we finally got served they had run out of some of the choices already!!

Over an hour for some over priced food!!

During one of my waits for a drink I witnessed one of the security guards shouting very loudly at a member of the public. Pointing in his face and calling him a ‘f@&£ing p@&£k’ I was alone otherwise I would have gone up to the security guard and told him there and then that his language was completely inappropriate for an event that was full of so many young children!!

Then over 2 hours to get out of the car park. A free for all. No guidance. No one taking charge.

The organisation and security at this event was absolutely terrible. I dread to think if something serious happened what would they have done. The venue was too small to accommodate the large numbers of people attending the event.

User

Just got home with two young children from Little Mix concert.... Absolutely exhausted. There was no one to direct us out of the car park. It was free for all. Also, they packed people like sardines at the venue. It was a complete con to charge high prices for gold area which was not exclusive in any way. Will never return.

User

Great event tonight (little mix and rak-su) appallingly managed, 1hr to get a soft drink. 2.5 hours of queuing to get into the event and 2.5 hours to leave the venue after. No traffic management in place and when some did arrive they were incompetent and clueless. A venue for small acts I’m afraid. Not a good enough managed venue to host headline A list acts.

User

DON'T GO. I won't, ever again.

Poorly organised show.

Could have been so much better; the start of the School Summer Holidays and a chance for the kids to enjoy their favourite band live. What a treat! But no.... the band were on FAR too late to allow most people to stay to the end if they had any hope of making public transport home. I would be surprised if Little Mix were performing to half a crowd for the last songs.

This could have all have been avoided had the organisers shown more respect to their paying audience, rather than try and stretch out the day as much as possible, presumably to maximise revenues from food stalls (no food or drink was allowed into the venue, and we were then made to queue for hours to get refreshments).

The 'shuttle' bus was not a shuttle at all but a free for all - literally free for some who blatantly boarded buses without having paid for a ticket to ride, extending wait times for those with tickets.

Came away feeling cheated and downright disgusted with the whole experience

User

Considering this is home to numerous events, the actual organization is piss poor! 1hr 15 after the concert ended and I still haven’t moved out of my parking spot! It’s disgusting! No communication, no marshals! Would not ever attend an event here again. Would rather pay extra and go somewhere decent that puts effort into looking after their customers rather than over selling tickets for profit to then cause upset and chaos! Shambles!

User

Complete joke ..... our lane is full of rubbish unable to enter or leve are own homes ....

Then a fire work display to top it all off with the ground as dry as it is and fire s all over the country .... ... where are your brains........ we look forword to your repley

User

Avoid this venue for large events!

The acts were great and inside the venue was good (in the gold area but didn’t see the rest)

However.....security and traffic management were awful.

Completely disorganised, no traffic marshalling in the car parks and it was utter chaos.

Security I spoke with were not aware of emergency plans or contingencies and had no communications.

This was unacceptable for a large public event in 2018 with the risks these events face. If you can’t manage basics what happens when there’s a major incident???

It would now appear the security company (Right Guard Security) the venue and the promoter are all blaming each other....

#lessons to be learnt!

User

Attended the little mix concert. The show was amazing, well done to the girls and support for not disappointing, but the organisation for exiting ... was there any plan?

I expected the traffic and the wait in the car park and we took supply’s as advised but it took an hour on foot to just get to the car (red car park) with crowds shouting ‘let us out’ which was scary for the children.

Such a lack of staff presence and no information

Finally got to the car ... no signed exit routes. After 2 hours when I finally reached the front of my queue (9 lanes of traffic feeding into one) I didn’t see any parking attendants and then found myself directly on the A249 trying to join a carriageway that had not been coned off and waiting for my gap between cars travelling at 70mph - no slip road or hard shoulder - this was so dangerous !!! Thankfully there wasn’t a major incident as you weren’t prepared for the expected issues - this is not acceptable

User

Attended the Little Mix Concert but then had to wait nearly 3 hours to get out of the car park, often sitting in the car and not moving at all! There was no organisation to get the car park empty safely.

Many cars had young children in them, on a hot evening there was no water/toilet facilities for the youngsters.

Get your act together Kent Event Centre, this spoilt what had up to that point been a brilliant event!

User

An awful venue that cannot cope the amount of people it allows in. We attended the little mix concert and did what was recommended and took the shuttle bus, we sat on that for 2 hours stuck in traffic with no air con. Once we arrived we had to queue over an hour just to get food and drinks. It was 30 degree heat and we weren’t allowed to keep the lids on our bottles of water which meant we couldn’t buy extra water to take in to the crowd with us. Not ideal when the event is aimed at young children. I will never go there again. We only managed to get home at a reasonable time because we left early and missed a quarter of the show because we didn’t want to sit on a bus for 2 hours again. Not fair when you pay a lot of money for your tickets!

User

Amazing little mix concert, but was completely unorganised. Took 2.5 hours to get out of the car park after they finished and we left early. Many were waiting longer. We waited aimlessly in ‘ques’ before the concert, which was just a big bundle as there was no form of barrier which would help people to get into lines or attempt to make organisation. Security was awful, they didn’t even check bags as we came in.

Meant to be seeing Craig David next, but don’t think we will bother if it’s going to be this disorganised. Hopefully they will learn from the mistakes and people’s annoyance .

User

Absolutely disgusting management, security and organisation at the Little Mix concert tonight. No signage, no announcements regarding where to go to get out, staff had no idea about anything - "I'm not from round here, I was just told to come and work the event" is what I was told by one security member - absolute joke! Then sent out of a gate onto a pitch black country lane with no lighting (the lighting was poor everywhere) and told we would be safe as there was no cars being allowed down there - only then to find a car up my backside 2 mins later. For an event who's audience was predominantly children, it was dangerous and the road infrastructure cannot cope with an event for 30,000 people. Absolutely diabolical and I will never, ever go there again. Such a shame because she show was fantastic and then the night was ruined trying to get home safely. The carnage that I saw on Detling Hill was beyond belief - parents and children in the middle of the bloody road! Seriously, the worst event I have ever been to!

User

Absolutely disgusted! The lack of organisation was diablical and DANGEROUS!!!! 30,000 people bottle necked out of tiny exit! All squashed together with the crowd not moving in front. Something serious could have happened. My poor daughter had an asthma attack whlle leaving. Packed in like sardines and the heat was too much but no medical help could get to us!!!! Disgraceful! What do you have to say about this?????
