Kent & Medway Road Safety Experience

Today we welcomed Public Services students from Mid Kent College - a great group who got involved in all of the road safety activities at the centre including Crash Scene Investigation and our interactive zones. Well done all!

Thank you to staff and students from Goodwin Academy in Deal for your visit to the Road Safety Experience today. Fabulous engaging students received input in crash scene investigation, CPR, mobile phones and participated in interactive games in the zone area. If you would like to bring a group to the Road Safety Experience aged 14+ and with a group size of over 15 attendees. Please contact us - there is no charge to attend the centre! Thank you to Dover Grammar School For Boys Year 12 students who attended the Road Safety Experience today. Students engaged in an interactive zone session, crash scene investigation, CPR and mobile phone input. Thanks also the the KFRS Community Safety team who assisted with the deliveries. KP

This is a 'must do' experience for young drivers on their way to passing their test or who have already passed.

It will definitely cause them to change attitudes and behaviours towards risk taking when driving.

It is so good that I bring youngsters on a 100 min each way journey to help save them causing a crash in which they or others may be killed or seriously injured.

Don't think about going, just go!

Its one of those things you think is going to be boring with someone keeping on about how dangerous you have been speeding, how far from the truth is that thought? A very informative, eye opening morning with some frightening facts and figures given to you in a truly professional and friendly way if anyone ever needs to do this coarse i would highly reccomend Kent fire and rescue at Rochester

It was a very interesting, informative and fun morning.

If you get an opportunity to visit this take it. Absolutely fascinating insight into the dangers on our roads.

I was fortunate to have an in depth tour of the experience today given by Jim (one of the team) . I would urge anyone to see it for themselves and for schools to book their place . The interactive displays along with the messages they will be delivering is such an innovative idea that I'm sure it will have an impact on anyone visiting in the near future.

Highly recommend this to everyone to visit. Thank you to all the team.

Designed around motorcyclist for crash Prevention scene management and first aid with correct helmet removal for free

Had our 1st volunteer meeting at the all new RSE last night. It was very interesting and enjoyed the tour given by Alan and seeing how all the different areas work. Its all looking great plus lots more planned for the future. Good Luck to the team for next weeks pilot event.

Had a great experience today at the speed awareness course. Tim & Ros were very friendly & made you feel at ease. They were both very informative, relaxed & very patient with the whole class. I was very anxious about attending initially but it was not what I expected - in a good way!!

The centre that we had to attend was also great. Easy to get to, clean & professional looking.

Had a brilliant day here, will be recommending it to everyone. The staff are fantastic and the center is put together really well. Everyone had a great time and learnt a lot from the trip. Thank you so much!

Fabulous experience, brilliant presentation and well worth a visit.

Eye opening experience which has certainly enhanced my Road Safety. Diverse, innovative and interactive learning that caters for all learning abilities and styles. The staff are very welcoming and engaging. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 14. All schools in Kent should commit to sending pupils on this experience so our kids get a better understanding of road safety

Every young person needs to come through this centre. Knowledgeable staff, engaging activities and life skills learnt.

Brilliant,professionaly presented course,learnt so much about accidents,first aid & riding safe,hopefully I won't need to use the first two !!!

Attended the Biker Down event, absolutely supperb. Designed for bikers to help with incident management, first aid for bikers including safe helmet removal and finally a very interesting talk about the reason bikers are not seen. If you ride motorbike, this is a must. Presented by very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and funny people...and all for free!

Absolutely amazing experience. Took a group of learners with additional learning needs and everyone came away with greater understanding of road safety. Fully interactive and imersive learning. Staff could not have been more engaging.
