Hello. My name is Sverre. I'm a newly appointed Assistant County Commissioner. With Dean and Simon, I have a leading role in building and shaping the future of Scouting in Kent.
Kent Scouts are BIG - 22 Districts, 239 Scout Groups, 985 Sections and Units, with nearly 17,000 Young People and 6,500 Adults - we want to get even BIGGER and BETTER!
I'm also Group Scout Leader of the 21st Medway Scout Group in Rochester. Opened in 2003, circumstances mean all our Sections meet on t...he same night. Thanks to a premises with two halls plus amazing cooperation amongst Adults and Young Leaders, we still fit in up to 118 Young People each week.
I look forward to working with fellow ACCs and County Teams, plus District & Youth Commissioners, District Teams, Group, Unit and Section Leaders, Committees, and most importantly our Young People, to see how we can support each other in achieving our shared goals.

New NICAS climbing courses (Levels 1 - 4) at Lower Grange Farm - Kent Scouts Barn start in September.
Our term based, Nationally recognised courses run from beginners at level 1 and offer skill progression through the stages to level 4.
It's a fantastic way to learn a new and developing sport, build confidence and gain a qualification.

The 25 strong team from Kent Scouts are setting off on the Ghana18 global project from Saturday 28th July to Saturday August 11th August 2018.
They will be volunteering at Rhema Abutia School and Shalom School in the Woe Region. Some will be moulding bricks which will be used to construct a perimeter wall as well as a new classroom. Others will be assisting the teachers with the delivery of lessons and sports coaching.
During the project the team have also arranged to del...iver some Scouts Against Malaria training sessions to the local Ghanaian Scouts and to provide malaria nets for distribution to the local community.
In between the project work they will also have the opportunity to visit the Volta to feed monkeys in a protected monkey sanctuary, see the Wli Falls and hike up Mount Afadjato.
They will also get to visit the Cape Coast with a tour of Cape Coast Castle, an overnight stay at a picturesque beach resort, a canopy adventure trail though Kakum National Park and lunch at a restaurant built over a crocodile lake!
