Welcome to Kentish corkers the home of bespoke hook baits, I started fishing at the age of 7 now 41 firstly with a float rod on the rivers, streams and lakes close to my childhood home in deepest darkest Kent. Then gradually over the years I moved from coarse fishing to pike fishing in the winter then at the age of around 11 I found Mr Carp and my love, life journey begun from rolling bait to the carp society and so on carp and bait is a bit of a passion of mine rather than just work.

Fishing has always been in my blood and for many like me when you’re not besides the tranquil setting of your quarry, you not at peace fully longing to be back by the waters edging dreaming of what may come.

My love is bait and I love thinking outside the box I have worked in the past in the trade for several big bait companies from when I was in my teens to my twenties and then again in my 4o’s. Bait has always been my passion for over 20 years now, I do not claim to be the best and creator of the ultimate bait as there is not one I make baits that are tried and tested, I just put them together in a different way of thinking, so I have decided to bring you my own products. I’m a firm believer in old school theories of hnv, natural additives /palatants and soluble food source liquids used to their maximum inclusion level to create a high attract hookbait not just a visual one. Also I use a lot of human grade products which are widely available and used more than people think in the bait trade just under different names from what they actually are.

I am happy to make pretty much anything you would like from my own little food based Kentish Corn’s to cork ball pop’s, hard hookers and wafters which in the early eighties we called critically balanced, some of you will remember the old poly balls hand rolled in a milk protein base or bird food etc then kept in a flask by the pond and a little bit of lead wire poked in the side and trimmed off so they balance just off the bottom or slowly drift down onto the weed beds below the surface ripples.

The list is endless when you put your mind to it, but please allow extra time for special orders as each pot will be made specifically for you and the process can take up to 14 days from start to finish. All products on my site are not kept in bulk they are made fresh to order with fresh free range eggs and fresh ingredients, so again please allow up to 7 to 14 or even longer for cured bait as each pot is made individually by hand to order for you. Each order will always be discussed with you so you are happy and know the time scale as to which it will take to be completed and posted out to you.

A few friends out there have been using my hook baits for some time now and have had some beautiful catches but prefer to stay out of the public eye which is a choice which I respect, my hook baits are not only for carp I know only too well those little tinkers love a special hook bait.
