Kerry'S Realistic Pencil Portraits

Gonna call it finished. Had it been on black paper it would have looked like she was in shadow 😂and she's supposed to have a shoulder but since it's just a tutorial i thought sod it cause I wanna start something new lol. Need to learn more skills 😄

This is a step by step tutorial I'm following courtesy of Karen hull. I bought some faber castel colour pencils and I wanted a bit of guidance. Loving the outcome so far

It's been a fair few years since I was last on here. A lot has happened. I have another little baby now. We are a family of 5. We moved to Wales in 2016, such a beautiful place. I have recently started drawing again. I'm trying to get back into it. Not ready to take on any work but I'm just enjoying drawing a little for myself, trying to reignite the passion I suppose. Here's what I've been playing with. Oh and I have a desk 😀 yey lol

So I finished this portrait a few months ago. I didn't post onto my page as i haven't wanted to draw and I didn't know how I felt about taking on another commission. So sorry that I let so many people down. I may be ready to take on another soon. The waiting list is pretty much obsolete now its been that long. Not too good at this am i. Again, so sorry.

More progress. 2 layers of hair. I can see the end. Thanks to Michelle for being soooo patient. ..and everyone else for that matter x

Done some drawing today. Hoping to get back to it after a brew. I can't believe how long I've been at this one :-(. I just don't want to draw anymore and I don't know why :'( it's quite upsetting really. All I want to do is sit and watch TV...what can I do to get my passion back?!

Today's (kind of pathetic) progress. Didn't get much done considering how long I was sat at the table

Spent an hour and a half on the drawing today. Took about 45 mins to erase the rest of the grid lol. Added the very beginnings of shading to the little girl. Hope to do some more tomorrow

Drawn in the next line drawing :-) still got bits to add on the hair for the other 2 etc. But I'll do all the finishes at the same time

I'm back! Finally got my drawing out. Spent quite a few hours on this today. I really am rubbish at keeping up with the drawing :-/ sorry guys. Gonna try my best to keep at it regularly

Another hour and a half added to the face and making a start in the necklace. Don't seem to be able to make the necklace look any good tho :-/

Bit more playing this evening curled up on sofa, since I did some commission work earlier :-)

Building up the layers, still lots to add to the face, nothing is finished on the nans face

Soooo I've been a bit naughty, got my colours out when the kids had theirs out earlier, and I carried on messing around tonight. 15 months of not playing and I caved. Don't worry tho, I'll get back on with my normal pics tomoz :-)....very pleased with my first attempt at a colour portrait tho
