Kessingland Zoo

Lovely afternoon at Africa alive, sunny with a cool breeze.

Great zoo plenty for kids to do, good value.

Africa Alive is a small to medium zoo. It has a lot of African based animals (hence name!) - some of which are to be expected such as the lions, the zebras and Giraffe. There are some other delights such as the Lemurs from Madagascar and many wonderful looking Owls from all over the world. There is a medium sized indoor soft play (which is a little tired from extensive use), a small park area and a mini golf course. Plenty of places to eat a picnic but also two decent sized places to buy food if you would prefer. I'd say if you have kids and want to avoid the 'specifically for kids' thing and have some fun yourself then this is for you - my husband and I enjoyed it as much as my 2 year old son!! If you do buy the Annual ticket you get entry to Banham Zoo too (which is fab) AND half price entry to Dinosaur park.
