Don't miss the last two weeks of Gormley. 'Subject', ends on 27 August. "At a time when our world has rarely felt more bleakly anchored, Gormley's evanescent, cosmic journey is wonderfully welcome." - Rachel Spence, Financial Times

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Castle Hill Open Day 2018 on Saturday, 21 July. Have a look at some of the photos from the day. Historians, local experts, artists, musicians and dancers came together to organise activities for all ages! The Museum of Cambridge, St Giles', Cambridge, The Churches Conservation Trust, Castle Street Methodist Church, Cambridgeshire County Council Murray Edwards College Cambridge and FHRC Friends of Histon Road Cemetery all hosted thousands of people over the day. We had an amazing team of staff and volunteers working tirelessly to make it all happen - thank you! Photos: Kip Loades

User

As part of Casson & Friends' residency at Kettle's Yard they've been working with the local community to create performances for Castle Hill Open Day 2018 inspired by #GORMLEYKettlesYard. Here's a little look at what they've been doing!

User

We only did the gallery but the conversion is state of the art. It’s a beautiful gallery now and lovely to see the educational area as well

User

Tucked away on the ascent to Castle Mound, this is the perfect space to absorb the artworks. There is coherence and you are not bombarded with room after room.

User

The old house is a must see in Cambridge. Quirky, interesting and stylish at the same time. The new gallery set up is a much better space but the content is very modern and may or may not be to your taste. Make time to visit but get there early in the day because the (free) timed tickets for the house are very popular at the moment!

User

Such a wonderful place, so lovely to be allowed to sit and absorb the art in such a relaxed environment. I only wish I lived closer to be able to visit frequently- to anyone who can take the time and opportunity to sample this

User

Small but perfectly formed. With welcoming intelligent staff. The Anthony Gormley exhibition was delightfully executed.

User

Lovely house. So full of interesting art work. I wish I had been able to stay longer. It was a relaxing inspiring place. I will visit again when I am next in Cambridge.

User

Loved how this house that seems full of light showed off a personal collection of art. Something different from every view where you are encouraged to sit and appreciate. The addition of the extension, also full of light, gives space to display more of the collection.

Added bonus of Anthony Gormley exhibits. Fabulous.

User

Love it here, will com again very soon xx

User

Jim Ede's house has been my favourite place in Cambridge since I first discovered it back in the late 1980's. So pleased it's reopened... and that it looks, and more importantly, feels the same. An absolute joy to visit and a gem.

User

I've wanted to visit since my student days. 25 years ago! Took my wife and children last week. We all loved it. A fabulous show in a lovely gallery. Thank you Kettle's Yard.

User

I found the best place in Cambridge !!

User

I Love this place

I Love this space

I like the house

I think it's ace.

Don't just come here to interspace

Or rush around at a crazy pace

Just take your time

No need to rhyme

I think you're gonna Love it here!

User

Fabulous to 'be' in this space again and excited to explore the energy that continues to thrive from Jim Ede's original vision... well done supporters of Kettle's Yard. Another exciting chapter... thank you

User

Every corner in the house is a masterpiece!

User

Amazing!

User

Amazing space. Whole family loves it.

User

A stunning tribute to the life and work of Jim and his passion for sharing his love of art. Memories and experiences live in this place....... refreshing. Thank you for keeping it going all these years!

Daniel. (Great grandson H.S. Ede)

User

Recommended visit. Lovely place. Enjoy the spaces and the art. Shame the cafe is small, great food though.

User

I only wish there was a list of the works shown in each room/space.
