Someone chose to use a noisy, smokie, smelly strimmer very near us as soon as we arrived. Superb facilities, but very expensive at £26 for a small camper and two adults. Dodgy hook up which kept tripping. Our toaster blamed... but owner, who seems a nice guy, finally discovered that the fault was his. Village is fine, pubs OK but very costly. Views and walks good. However I doubt we will use this site again.

Yeah. Great like all the other reviews. Just a bit too busy.

It is true the site is surrounded by beautiful dales scenery and the toilet and shower facilities are really very good.
BUT, the owner of the site is not very friendly or hospitable, he squeezes far too many tents into a very small site, and charges very high prices.
We were told by a local in Kettlewell that there is a rift between the campsite owner and the neighbouring farmer. The neighbouring farmer drove his tractor up and down his field that runs parallel with the camping field until 1am in the morning 2 nights running! Not sure if he was doing it out of spite or just very busy. Luckily we had decent enough ear plugs but our friends didn't! It was so noisy. That, coupled with tents being stuck bang next to each other meant we didn't have a very relaxing weekend at all. We were glad to get home to get some peace and quiet!!

Facilities here are among the best I've ever used at a campsite, easy to find a pitch and there's a small shop and the showers are in great condition. The location is perfect as a base for exploring the whole of the national park.

While hiking through the Yorkshire Dales, my partner and I stayed at Kettlewell one night. Having stayed at campsites in three different countries, these are the best -- and most posh! -- facilities I have ever seen. The camp grounds where we set up our tent were spacious and the grass freshly cut.

I was most impressed by the toilet and shower facilities. They were impeccably clean, there was adequate hot water, electrical outlets were provided, and the decor was pleasantly upscale for what one might hope to find at a campsite. There's nothing like coming in from the trail, tired and footsore, to step into an unexpected bit of luxury. I hope to revisit Yorkshire in the future and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Kettlewell.

Great campsite on the edge of the village. Meets away from three pubs. The facilities are excellent.

Good toilets but very uneven ground

Lovely landscape and views
