Karl Oskar Sørdal is a Norwegian lighting designer who comes originally from Sandnes.

Karl has worked on numerous productions from dance and theatre; most recently he lit The collaborative production Aareskjold /Breistein /Larsen /Sordal "SIGNAL" (Sandnes Kulturhus), "The Wordcatcher" by Smoking Apples Theatre(The Blue Elephant Theatre), Glow Dance company's production "HENNE" choreographed by Cesilie Kverneland and Ellenore Scott (Sandnes Kulturhus) "The Fantastical Adventures of [Not] Being With You" written and directed by Justin Bennet (The Blue Elephant Theatre), GLOCs summer performance of "The Sorcerer" by Gilbert& Sullivan directed by Tony Baker (John McIntoch Arts Centre), "TRes" for SomoSQuien Dance Company (DMUCC Leicester), Living Structures' "Leviathan" (Trinity Buoy Warf), NSOs production of Charles Gounod's "Mireille" directed by Tony Baker (Cadogan Hall, Devonshire Park, Lewes Town Hall) the “Seemingly Invisible” production for Smoking Apples Theatre (The Blue Elephant Theatre), “Trade Fair” for SomoSQuien Dance Company (Curve Theatre) "Yerma" by Frederico Garcia Lorca, directed by Peter Bramley (The Barn Theatre).
