Kg Hypnobirthing Harrow & Herts Description
Hypnobirthing is an antenatal training programme that teaches relaxation methods to allow mind and body to work together to achieve an enjoyable, natural birth. Hypnobirthing teaches techniques to help stay calm, relaxed and in control in order to achieve the birth that you want as well as providing logical information to help you to understand how the body works during labour.
I am trained in the KG method with Katherine herself and I fundamentally believe in, and feel empowered by, the message and logic of hypnobirthing.
Group classes with a maximum of six couples.
Classes are held over two consecutive Sundays from 10am - 5pm with lunch and refreshment breaks.

Love this hospital birth! #changingperceptions
The recent celebrity birth announcements are certainly causing a stir in the media. Today's debate on This Morning was "are women pressured not to use pain relief?"
Had Lotte actually been given a chance to present her thoughts she could have helped to dispel another myth around #Hypnobirthing - I can sum it up perfectly in this picture. Hypnobirthing supports every woman and every birth. It's about choices, respect and being informed. If this helps a woman to achieve a more... comfortable birth that doesn't require any medication, if that's what she chooses, then that's wonderful for them - but our goal is simply for women to understand the process, be informed about their choices and come out feeling that they had a positive birth.
From my own experience, and that of many of my clients, I would certainly suggest that there is more pressure and expectation to use pain relief than not to and it's easy for us to understand why when we look at the science behind the muscles and hormones involved in birth - Hypnobirthing helps us to understand this physiology, how we can take more control and make our own decisions. Nobody should feel pressured to use or to not use pain relief. CHOICE is the key.
Let's all support each other

To accompany my previous post. "Indeed, the trial itself simply compared highly medicalised non-induced births, with highly medicalised induced births, ignoring the possibility of a ‘third way’" https://www.positivebirthmovement.org/ind uction-at-39-week…/
A great response to the rather concerning ARRIVE study!
This seems to be becoming more and more common so an interesting read!
Thanks for sharing and congratulations to Harry Kane, Kate and family! Helping to reduce fear around birth, promote Hypnobirthing and empower women 💪 I wonder if they took tips from Fabian Delph?

The most intricate of dances. Babies instinctively decend and rotate through the pelvis in preparation to meet you 💕 #antenatal #Hypnobirthing #birthwithoutfear
Always a favourite!
Semi final time! ⚽️😱 What does birth have to do with football I hear you cry! On our courses we talk a lot about how your mind and body must work together, and what a huge impact your mind can have over your body. Let's think about our World Cup athletes.. physically fit, strong and at the peak of their profession and YET every professional will be working alongside a sports psychologist in order to enhance their performance. #Hypnobirthing is the sports psychology of birth! Get your mind on board 🤗 #prepareforbirth http://www.wired.co.uk/…/england-win-pe nalty-shootout-vs-co…
When I get messages like this, I love my job that little bit more 💕 "We had our baby girl this morning at 0607 am ☺ so happy to say it was all natural, in a birth pool, with my hypnobirthing music in on in the back ground. It turned out to be everything i wanted and more."
Yey!! Love a birth announcement 😊💕🍾
So baby arrived - a little boy, he weighted 8lb 7... I am lucky enough to have had a natural and pain free birth, it was so calm and sedate - thanks to my hypnobirthing techniques! And a big big thank you to you! Much appreciated... here’s some pics of the little bruiser xxx
When I first found out I was pregnant I was very excited but also very afraid of the birthing experience. Reading Crystal’s birthing story and knowing why she trained as a hypnobirthing instructor drew me into selecting her as my instructor. We did a 121 session in the comfort of our own home. Crystal made me feel very much at ease and I am not one to relax easily and she provided me with great techniques to support me to get into the zone. She ensured my husband was involved in the whole experience which was very important to me. Note my husband was very sceptical around hypnobirthing and after our first session with Crystal was very much a firm believer as Crystal also explains the science behind it. When we started the session our initial thoughts on birth were very pessimistic where I was using words such as ‘pain’, ‘scary’ ‘uncomfortable’ by the end of the sessions with Crystal my thoughts had changed to ‘empowered’, ‘calm’, ‘positive mind’. It really is mind over matter and I have continued to practice the up and down breathing through the scripts provided which Crystal supported us with in our session. I am due in just over a week and though nervous I know I have the techniques to support me through my birth and can’t wait to meet my little one. Thanks Crystal.
What an amazing course and honestly I don't know how my pregnancy, birth and motherhood would be if it had'nt been for Crystal. I was induced, drug free giving us a natural birth. The techniques we learnt throughout the course were invaluable. Thank you so much Crystal for all your support x
We absolutely LOVED this course with Crystal. Can't recommend it enough. Not only is she an amazing educator but Crystal is also just so so lovely and puts you at ease with the whole birthing process (something I was quite scared of). Hypnobirthing in itself (which should be called mindful birthing really) is such a wonderful thing but we both feel very lucky to have had such a knowledgable tutor to lead us through it. Do book the course if you're considering this as a practice to follow!
Hypnobirthing my daughter Emily was an amazing experience. I can't thank Crystal enough for teaching me the skills I needed to make my birth everything I wanted it to be.
Crystal's course was fantastic. She's very knowledgeable and really helped put our minds at ease. She tailored the course around our particular worries/concerns and was happy to answer our questions and source further information for us. Crystal demonstrated the relaxation techniques well and we felt well equipped at the end of the course. She does provide ongoing support all the way up to the birth.
I feel more confident as I approach labour and I credit that to Crystal. Highly recommend!
Crystal has a great knowledge of Hypnobirthing and really cares for the couples that she works with. We found the course very useful and although our birth didn’t go anywhere near to the birth plan, the techniques and understanding of what was going on helped hugely.
Crystal doesn’t just leave you after the course either and she showed a genuine interest in how we were getting on during and after the birth. This helped us so much in the earliest days when things were their toughest. Thank you Crystal! Highly recommended all round.
