Any local parents of a 0-4 year old, customer or not, are invited to attend a workshop at our Altrincham Centre sharing our unique approach to Early Years learning and how you can mirror these ideas at home.
Our Founder and CEO, Jennie Johnson MBE will personally deliver the workshop at each of our Centres throughout the year. Helping mums and dads understand the fun that can be had whilst helping their children with the early stages of reading, writing, maths and creative sk...ills, Jennie covers the entire learning journey from birth onwards so it is equally as applicable for parents of babies as well as pre-schoolers.
Says Jennie “I love delivering these workshops and seeing that magic moment when parents realise that learning through play is highly effective and so much more fun. Challenging thinking and allowing parents to enjoy their child’s most formative years even more while everyone involved has fun is genuinely one of my favourite things to do.”

The topics covered include: • Play and why it's important (including "risky play", what it means and what children gain from participating in it); • Creativity and why it is a vital skill for very young children; • Mark making and emergent writing; • Letter formation without a pencil in sight, including fun ways to engage children, like Jedi writing! ; • Maths and what early years maths looks like and how it isn't just about learning to count! ; • Phonics and early reading skills;
Our next workshop is at Kids Allowed, Montgomery House, 184 Manchester Road, Altrincham, WA14 5LD on Thursday 11th July 2019, starting at 6.15pm until 8.00pm.
