Preschool have been exploring different kinds of hairdressing equipment and jewellery this week, finding out how the objects can be used and helping others to get dressed up. They enjoyed showing off their new look to their friends. In the garden they got physical by building an obstacle course, the children had to go over, under and through different objects, learning about positional language. Vikki x

Puddles: Toddlers embraced the wet weather last week and added bubble bath to the puddles. This was great for mark making as we could see the different marks the bikes, balls and hoops made as they passed through. Adding paint into the puddles we were able to see what happened when we mixed the colours together. We also had lots of fun creating more bubbles by brushing them up. Vikki x

Babies have had lots of fun exploring the playdough! They used different utensils to make marks in it. They used their motor skills as they explored this different texture!

Woddlers enjoyed making their own sea scene in the water tray. They explored different coloured crate paper and then hid the animals beneath it! We then decided to make marks with the animals in our very gloop!

Today we say a sad farewell to Amy C. Amy has been with us for 6 years after starting as an apprentice and progressing to senior. We will miss Amy lots but she has decided to move her career in a completely different direction and we wish her all the very best in her new role. ❤️ Leann xxx

Prep School enjoyed exploring the 3D shapes yesterday from the secret treasure basket, we talked about how the shapes came from an Island far away and they were protected by pirates so we had to keep it a secret. We compared 2D and 3D shapes talking about the difference, we then learned the different names of the different shapes. Jayde. x

Woddlers have enjoyed making their own puppet shows with different animals! They used different sounds in play to represent the different animals.

For teaching time last week I brought out my special box with treasure in and told the children a little story about how I fought pirates to get the treasure. The children then picked two magnetic numbers to put on their board, they counted out that amount of treasure to match the numbers they had chose, some children then used an add sign and added the numbers all together and checked by counting the amount of treasure they had collected. Billie Rogers from our Toddler room begins her Mat leave today. With a 1year old already at home maybe relaxation might be tricky but we hope she manages it! We wish her and her partner all the very best and can’t wait to meet her. Leann xx
