Following the response to the poll, were pleased to announce that Kidsgrove Oatcakes is now providing a range of cold sandwiches and baps. As demand grows, well increase our range of fillings, so please let us know what your favourite is and we’ll try to accommodate.

May Day opening To all our customers, we just wanted to let you know that we will be open on Bank Holiday Monday (6th May) for anyone wanting to partake in our usual array of offerings. And remember, we also sell a small range of convenience items such as bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar (in case you run out) Hope to see you then, but wherever you end up, have a happy May Day!

Easter Opening
We will be open as usual 7-2 this Friday (Good Friday). We will also be open Easter Saturday 7-2 & Easter Sunday 8-12.30 but we will be closed on Easter Monday.

Kidsgrove Oatcakes - saving the planet one cup at a time....
Earlier this year we started giving 10p off all hot drinks to those who brought in a reusable mug. We also sourced some travel mugs for sale at the shop which soon sold out. So in response to numerous requests, we’ve now got more mugs in a choice of 3 colours.

Not quite Cinderella, but somebody’s little princess has dropped their shoe in the shop. Here awaiting collection if anybody recognises it

And the winner is....
Kidsgrove Oatcakes recently had a “Guess the name of the bear” fund raiser to raise money for “ADEdonate”, a charity seeking to raise enough funds to site a defibrillator at Kidsgrove Railway Station.
The event should have raised £30. Today, the lucky winner collected “Sophie” from the shop. They wanted to remain anonymous but were retired from the NHS and as such, thought the fund raiser was a great idea.
... They were so thrilled to be the winner that on collecting the bear, they donated a further £10. So thanks to all those who support the event and a big thanks to the generous winner.

In an attempt to raise money for AEDdonate, Kidsgrove Oatcakes have donated a giant teddy for a ‘guess the name of the bear’ competition. For just 50p per guess- you could win the teddy in our front window! All proceeds will go towards the new defibrillator at Kidsgrove Train Station.

Anyone missing a dragon?
Seems very friendly. He landed in the window of the Oatcake Shop this morning.
We’ll keep him safe till he wants to fly home.

Like a lot of people, here at Kidsgrove Oatcakes, we are concerned about the massive use of “one use plastics”.
To try to do our bit, we’re knocking 10p off every cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate for customers who bring in their own re-usable mug.
We have also managed to source some great quality re-usable thermos mugs which we are selling for £3.50 (if it’s a gift) or £4.00 with your chosen drink.

For all those who intend to brave the elements tomorrow at the Remembrance Day parade, please note that we will be open as usual serving hot food and drinks until 1pm. And to mark the 100th year, for 1 day only, we will be supplying a cheese oatcake together with a cup of tea for just 100 pence. Or take home half a dozen of our oatcakes, again for just 100 pence.
