User

Great themed restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Food was fresh and delicious. It's a shame that it was so quiet which may of put passers by off. This certainly didn't reflect the experience. Added bonus is that they sell one of the sauces they serve (I've become very fond of it). Would recommend.

User

Great place, lovely staff, food excellent. We will be back

User

First visit tonight and have to say it was absolutely fantastic! Definitely going back! Hubby had the soup followed by the Kilimandjaro's chicken and I had the hummus then the exotic wrap. Well presented and cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced.

User

Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere worth every penny spent cant falut anything was just amazing

User

Food was lovely,,toilets need a make over.drinks really good price would definitely go again as long as there is loo roll !

Both meals were far too salty, it felt like I was spooning salt into my mouth and not the the curry I had ordered. My wife's curry was even saltier. The staff were very accommodating in taking away the food and bringing an alternative, only to find that the meat on the skewer was coated in the same salty sauce. Motto of this story is unless you enjoy salt by the spoonful don't order a curry dish.

User

Lovely place, lovely service. Shame chicken wings on the menu but none available. Only bottled beer?? Not what the menu said. Pay by card no go walk in the cold to the cash point ours is not working!! Lamb chops OMG black burnt to a crisp wish could add pictures, the chips were nearly the same. Such a shame as it's a great idea and great atmosphere, think a new chef would sort things out. Good luck

User

Was really looking forward to an early valentines day meal here. We pre booked a table in advance with no problems then the night comes we get dressed, get a taxi down to find the place closed?!!! We tried ringing and the door but got no reply. Id heard good things about this place and was very disappointed we never got to even try after wasting money to get there and back :-(

User

Turned up about 3-4 times and even though it’s says they’re open, they are not. Been closed all of the times we tried going. Could at least have a bit of decency and inform customers that they’re going to be shut. If I were you I wouldn’t waste your time going because when you get there, it’s likely to be shut when the internet says otherwise.

The wife and I decided to go to Kilimanjaro for our valentine’s meal, when we were shown to our table we were just left there we were not asked if we would like to order a drink. There was only two serving drinks and meals so it was a slow service, I should have known they took 4 day to confirm my booking, after 20 minutes they ask if we would like to order there was no draught beers only bottles which where warm, the wife ordered chicken skewers and I ordered a mixed grill of lamb chops, lamb ribs, chicken and a chicken skewer. Well when the meal came the wife’s chicken was over cooked and dry yet the peppers and onion was raw strange when they where supposed to be cooked on the skewer, and my mixed grill was black all the meat was totally burnt black and inedible the only thing on both meals what we could eat was the chips, when we complained she said she will tell the chef he who cant cook so we will never go back there or recommend it to any one

My experience here was one i hope to not be repeating any time soon. With cocktail menus on every table we decided to order one, only to be told there's no spirits in stock to make any. Upon inspection of the menu we noticed EVERY dish has either 'kilimanjaro sauce' or 'waka waka', so I asked what the difference is and how spicy they are, to be informed they are both exactly the same sauce! and this is on EVERY dish... Wow how inventive. I ordered 'slow cooked lamb ribs' being slow cooked i expected some lovely succulent meat, wrong. What i got was dry, tough and very little of it, almost bare bones. Moving on to my main course, I ordered 'chicken and prawn pasta a la creme' fully expecting a mild creamy dish... I was wrong again. The menu offers 2 options for pasta, 'kilimanjaro' or 'a la creme'... Yet again, surprise surprise, it was simply penne pasta with raw sliced peppers, onions, chicken and a few prawns in kilimanjaro sauce with a little added cream. Very unimaginative chef and poor quality ingredients. Also the "new renovations" look atrocious, I actually think they painted the window frames with a yard brush, the wallpaper is peeling off and the lighting is way too low and inappropriately placed. I actually hit my head on it getting up from my seat. And to top off the whole experience they don't have facilities to pay with a credit /debit card, which is not stated anywhere and we were not informed of this until we actually tried to pay. Will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone.

I booked a table for my nieces birthday on Saturday night. They took my booking over the phone and I have gave them my number. We turned up on Saturday to a closed restaurant. I tried phoning them and got no answer. If this is how you treat your customers we will not be coming back. As a party of 8 We paid for taxis to the restaurant. Then couldn’t get a table anywhere else as it was sunny and everywhere was full. Then we struggled to get a taxi to another restaurant. I think it’s fair to say you ruined my nieces birthday.

User

Had the Caribbean pepper stew, the sauce and peppers were nice but the chicken was awful, u could tell it was cheap, gristly and discoloured, was knocking me sick, accompanying rice was cold, no wonder the place was empty, whole place needs refurbing, trying to be Nando’s but failing dismally, Son said his parmo wasn’t very good, should have just gone to the tapas as planned.
