Lovely little hike that took about five hours including lunch and many pictures along the way. Started opposite of Jacob's ladder which seemed to be the road less traveled. We had a dry walk, but it would certainly be a mess even with a little bit of rain. Begins and ends at a lovely pub.

I have walked over Kinder Scout many times and can highly recommend it, wonderfull views and interesting terrain make for a great day in the hills, there are a wide variety of walks for all abilities, just remember to check the weather before doing anything to adventurous and carry all the appropriate gear with you. It can get a bit wild up there sometimes.

We set off at first light on a clear, frosty Sunday morning in February. What a fantastic day! The wonderful views en route climax on the limestone/gritstone plateau which is unlike anywhere else. I'm a 63 yr old with an arthritic foot for whom the pleasure exceeded the pain. Will be going again soon.

Absolutely amazing views I recommended the Jacobs ladder route up the mountain!
