The huge clean up of the field has begun. Everything from camping furniture to televisions & hazardous waste has been left behind so please be patient as it may take a while to get the field back to the standard we have maintained it to in recent months. During this time, please be extra vigilant as until we get some rain, some areas of the field may not be completely sanitised. Efforts are ongoing to improve the security of the field to once and for all stop another illegal occupation. A big thank you to everyone who has messaged us over the past week offering their thanks and support to all of the volunteers that make this group possible.

We all have our field back. Big clean up to come even though the travellers have bagged most of their rubbish. Big thank you to all of our local councillors, the police and enforcement officers for their hard work over the last few days.

It's with great regret that we have to inform you all that travellers have once again broken onto the field. Despite attempts to sure up the defences on the field, caravans have still got on and are continuing to enter the field as the police have now vacated the area and left us to fend for ourselves. The council are aware and Cllr Pockock is currently on the scene trying to sort the situation out.

After numerous messages about the amount of dog mess in the field, we have now obtained multiple signs which will be erected not only around the field, but around the Banners Gate neighbourhood warning dog owners to clean up after their dogs. Dog Warden patrols have also been stepped up with multiple £1000 penalties being issued in other local parks. Mario the Staffie will also be in the field keeping an eye on his friend's owners who don't clean up after them!

YELLOW WEATHER WARNING

The Met Office has issued YELLOW WEATHER WARNING due to lightning. This covers the area that the field is in where we have seen two bolts of lightning hit the ground in the last hour. For this reason we would advise avoiding the field until further notice.
