And here it is, our Lent Term newsletter! As usual we have packed an astonishing quantity and variety of events into a relatively short term.
This newsletter only scratches the surface, but it does give an idea of the success that our pupils have enjoyed over the past few months. We hope you enjoy it: https://bit.ly/2Lg1S8p #education2to18 #happyreading

The two #SriLanka squads continue to play some fantastic cricket. Squad one lost narrowly off the last ball yesterday, while squad two won an astonishing game, winning with four overs to spare thanks to Luke Oldknow hitting 202 not out from 104 balls.
Luke leaves the tour early to represent #Zimbabwe in the lead up to the 2020 World Cup. He has come a long way and we are all very proud!

It has been a long and busy, yet fulfilling few days for our Fourth and Fifth Form pupils, who have been visiting some of #Berlin's most important sites as part of a #history tour.
Highlights included a trip to the Brandenburg Gate, Sachsenhausen, The Bundestag, and a walking tour of the city. #cityexploring

We were delighted to hear from Restart Africa last week, who got in touch to thank us for our efforts in raising money for the centre's art supplies.
Our pupils' artistic skills, combined with the forward-thinking nature of our Head of Art, enabled us to design and create a range of greetings cards that were to be sold at Hestercombe Gardens. We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has donated so far. We look forward to raising additional funds in the Summer Term. #artforafrica

Our U18s certainly enjoyed their Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens experience! Despite a gracious defeat to Whitgift School, South Croydon, their spirits were lifted when they met England Rugby and Harlequins Rugby Union player, Marcus Smith. There's nothing quite like rubbing shoulders with #rugby royalty ... #RosslynPark #RPNS7

Mental wellbeing for our pupils and staff is paramount, and the positive effect that pets can have on this is huge. Click here to read more about the King's canine community: https://bit.ly/2Yzs1Su #schoolpets

Today our touring teams played in Dubai and in Kandy (Sri Lanka). Both sides played some good cricket with plenty of players contributing. James Rew scored 99 runs and Jacques Banton was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets including a hat-trick. Both teams will join up tomorrow in Sri Lanka.

Meet Larry the Labrador – one of our resident house dogs. Larry is a registered therapy dog, regularly taking time out from his walks, to visit patients at Musgrove Hospital.
Pets can have a positive impact on mental well being, and this is something we are keen to promote.
He is just one of the many dogs that are part of our King's canine community!... #mindfulness #positivementalwellbeing #petsandmentalhealth
