Great kerbside appeal and just stunning once inside. Done up really nice, decor is perfect. Very warm and cosy with all the candles lit and original low exposed beam ceiling. Staff very very attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed a superb meal, Seared Duck. Cooked to perfection. Lovely room, very clean and tidy. Everything in it you require.

Lovely food in this popular pub in the heart of Ravenstonedale, a pretty little Cumbrian village nestled under the Howgills. Great base for walkers

This is a friendly, clean and warm pub with and great selection of food and drink. Whilst the ales on offer aren't necessarily the local beers, they are the best. Food is superb and service cannot be faulted. We went in earlier than we planned with our Boarder Collie and they even bought her a bowl. It was lovely and warm, good fires burning throughout and a great atmosphere. Shall be returning.

We eat here on a regular basis because the food is always amazing, the menu has alot of choice and we are never disappointed. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar area and restaurant are very comfortable and welcoming, and all this in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Also, if lucky, you can spot a red squirrel in the beautiful garden next to the river! We are going back this evening for more ....
