Kirkstall Community Garden

Kirkstall Community Garden is a project run by a group of local volunteers with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, introducing others to growing their own food and bringing the community together. We all know the story with "Give a man a fish. . . ". We're not that much into fishing, so we give people from the community a friendly, safe and welcoming space, tools, seeds and seedlings, all the knowledge, support and guidance they need and plenty of hands-on help so they can learn how to grow their own food, how to store, prepare and enjoy it. And after they master the basics of gardening, if they wish to take one step further, we encourage and support them to create a garden of their own. It all needs to start somewhere!
