Fresh from the barrel this week, Islay Cask Aged Gin. Debuting at the Ludlow Spring Festival, this gin has been ageing for many months in an oak cask that previously held rich peaty whisky from the famous Scottish island of Islay. The gin takes on a gentle colour from the oak, mellowing the juniper and adding smokey depth to the flavour. If you are a true cask gin connoisseur, there will also be a limited number of 'cask strength' bottles available only at the festival.
