We have recently come back from our Deer Safari at Knepp. It was a wonderful experience. Knepp is a beautiful place and I really admire what they are trying to achieve with the rewilding project. Our guide Darren was excellent as we did not just learn about the deer but about all of the estate and what their aims are. It was so nice to see how passionate he was about his job and also the estate. Seeing these beautiful creatures relaxed in their own surroundings was pretty special. It is especially poignant given that their natural homes elsewhere are being reduced due to the modern way of life. Thank you so much for this experience
Great weekend camping at Knepp - beautiful surrounding, nice facilities and lots of good things as the little shop.
Stunning, informative, illuminating, significant, fun... There are no shortage of adjectives to describe what the Knepp estate is, it's purpose, or what it hopes to achieve. Visit and have your eyes opened.
Great project and really interesting place to visit. Excellent chance to see British wildlife and rare breeds in a natural setting. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Really interesting site, great camping facilities at a range of levels. Really good to be able to borrow hot water bottles and be able to get a lovely hot shower in a warm room when it gets below freezing overnight!
Facilities seemed to be well thought through for camping and for our meeting.
Camped here for two nights. Wonderful facilities and excellent staff. Went on a dawn safari and covered most of the estate walking. In addition to the obvious highlights of hearing nightingales, stumbling into three magnificent stags and seeing my first ever grass snake, my overriding joy was the genuine connection to something which felt truly 'wild' and ancient. As someone who grew up in rural and farming communities it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Quite a primordial feeling. Topped off by enjoying the incredible meat produced by the estate, having seen the benefits to the herds and land firsthand. A brilliant place and fascinating rewilding experiment.
Amazing memories made here, perfect place to enjoy and appreciate nature
I camped here for two nights - absolutely loved the beautiful set-up with great facilities and appreciated the fact that the camping pitches were far and few in between, allowing peace and privacy.
It was amazing to have access to a fully equipped kitchen and shower rooms!
The staff were so friendly and helpful and made the visit there beyond anything we could gave hoped for. We saw Purple Emperor less than 2ft from us, lots on the day, deer, pigs wallowing in the woods, all sorts of other butterfly, slow worn, large carp , barn owl, turtle doves, slow worm, rabbits......We recommend you spend one day there and you will never forget it ever......five stars all round from myself, Chris and Mrs B
Beautiful camp site. Great safari, barn owls, little owls, pigs, deer, heron and crested grebe
