Established in 2012, Knight Robie Ltd are a Yorkshire based electrical contractor specialising in the telecoms industry. We have been steadily growing throughout this time gathering new customers as we expand.

We hold a number of accreditations and memberships relevant to the electrical & telecoms industry all of which set us apart from a standard electrical contractor. Holding a full Arqiva approval has allowed us to access and work on a wide range of Arqiva sites throughout the UK and has given us experience of using the Gateway system to arrange our own access to the Arqiva portfolio. We are MBNL accredited, allowing us to work on and arrange our own outage requests for any of the MBNL portfolio of sites including Three and EE. Electrically we hold a full JIB member status and we are also a member of the ECA. This gives clients the guarantee that our electrical staff are fully H& S trained and their qualifications are independently vetted. A number of our staff are SC security cleared as we carry out works on a number of MoD sites around the UK.

Carrying out installation works for a number of high profile telecoms companies, we are proficient at installing new supplies to everything from a new cabinet to a new building. We have carried out upgrade works on MoD sites around the UK meeting both BS7671 and JSP480 (Now JSP604) with our installation standards, SWA cable installations on exposed rooftops and even buried ducting for underground cabling supplies. All of our installations are carried out to the highest industry standards and working with the MoD has taught us to raise the standard to an even higher level. We have used a variety of containment types for our installations including conduit, trunking, tray work and basket. Our work is varied, as are our clients.

Waldon Telecom
Working in the South East and South West of England on the Darwin 4G upgrade project for EE, we are installing PSUs and new circuits for the cabinet upgrades or new installations. Each site requires a permit to work application, an outage request and access booking. When completed, each installation requires a large number of photographs to be added to handover paperwork and then submit this to the client.

WHP Telecom
Working in Scotland and the North of England on the Darwin 4G upgrade project for EE, we are installing PSUs and new circuits for the cabinet upgrades or new installations. Each site requires a permit to work application, an outage request and access booking. When completed, each installation requires a large number of photographs to be added to handover paperwork and then submit this to the client. Also working on the COOS (Critical Out Of Service) project for Vodafone carrying out reactive maintenance to damaged and of air sites.

Clarke Telecom
Working in Wales and across the Midland region of England carrying out the TI (Technical Installation) stage of the same Darwin 4G upgrade project. This time though assisting the BTS ebineer to activate the new equipment and bring the site on air.

Electranet UK
Covering all of the UK, we are working with Electranet UK on 3 different contracts to the MoD. Firstly to Test & Inspect all BT communications cabinets on MoD property and PAT testing the BT equipment within the cabinet. Secondly carrying out installations of new secondary earthing cables to comms cabinets lacking the protection from touch currents. Thirdly we are involved in the new installation of supplies to new indoor firing range equipment. All of our work on these sites has to be completed to BS7671 and JSP604 which insists in extra standards for all electrical installations on government property.

We operate a fleet of vehicles, small vans, large vans and also 4x4 vehicles. This has enabled us to carry out our own logistics and site access in the most extreme of places and conditions. We have been able to operate effectively in the far North of Scotland and the Orkney Islands down to the tip of Cornwall.
