About Koha Restaurant & Bar

Koha Restaurant & Bar

Koha Restaurant & Bar Description

Set in the heart of London's theatre land, tucked between to stage doors of Wyndam's and Noel Coward theatres lies KOHA Restaurant & Bar were you can sample really special type of hospitality.

There are two sides to KOHA - a wine cellar bar - and a spirited elegant dining room at street level, excellent for Pre-theatre dinners, business meetings, or just a cool glass of wine away from the sun during the day or a shelter during cold winter nights.

KOHA opened in 1994 and it was not long before they gained the special reputation for excellent food and unique hospitality.
In 1998, KOHA was nominated for the prestigious ' Carlton Restaurant ' award. The food is always fresh and wholesome and the drinks include amusing cocktails made with fresh juices and fruits, and as wide a selection of wine and spirits as you could wish for.

Now, KOHA has become the well-known haunt of some of London's most interesting communities of artists, journalists, sportsmen, politicians, as well as passers-by who stumble accidentally and fortuitously into a very special environment.

KOHA is a tiny gem in the centre of London. One visit is all it will take for you to become a devotee!

Unlike Ms Zikri I have always found the service efficient and friendly and regard many of the staff as friends. I have been going to the Koha since it first opened, have used it as a venue to meet friends and colleagues, many of whom have then become regulars and have even made new friends from fellow customers. Due to circumstances however I haven't visited for some time. Yesterday afternoon (Sunday 24th April) I planned to visit the Koha with a group of friends. A sunny Sunday afternoon - I expected all the outside tables to be packed and was worried we wouldn't get a table. I was though devastated to discover it was closed. No indication on the door as to why. St Martin's Court was a sad place without it. And there is no comparable place nearby with the open air access, that relaxed ambiance, reasonable prices and friendly staff. However, panic over. Have just rang them and discovered they were closed for a filming project. Whew! What a relief

The private party room in the basement is just amazing with all facilities for a good celebration!

I highly recommend this place for everybody.

Staff were friendly and professional.

The prices are very good if you compare with other places in central London.

Thank you for your services!

Just popped in for a G & T, very good! Attentive service from Bibi (hope I've got that right, lovely waiter from Kosovo) we shared the tiger prawns, they too were excellent!

It is a very friendly place. Very Important piece of West End theatreland. The food is all interesting and reasonably priced. I had duck pate the other day - delicious with very good bread. Great place to see and be seen. Will be back!

I've been coming to Koha for years now. I've had intimate dinners, group dinners, pre-theatre dinner and lunch, I've had coffee with friends and have had scores of private parties downstairs. Fadil and his brothers never disappoint. The food is always outstanding, the service is impeccable, the wine list is terrific and I'd recommend Koha to anyone!! If you think Leicester Square is all chains then try this absolute gem lovingly tucked away from the chaos behind the tube station. They've even got outdoor seating aplenty in the summer and heated outdoor seating year round. Keep up the great work guys!

I visited Cafe Koha with my Kosovar partner on 29/05/17. We were both really impressed with the delicious drinks, excellent service, friendly staff, stunning decor, and great ambience. It was also a lovely opportunity for my partner to chat to other Albanians, which he doesn't get to do very often in this country. Thanks for the great experience. We hope to come back for a meal soon!

User

Excellent service, food and value for money. If you’re going to a matinee please give them a chance to cook the lovely food, it’s worth it 👍

A wonderful restaurant with friendly staff, delicious food and an amazing atmosphere. My favourite spot in London

User

Lovely friendly staff. Great atmosphere and nice food.

User

Great party venue. Wanna try the restaurant next cos the "nibbles" were great. Drinks were a bit pricey but that's central London I guess.

User

4 stars as we couldn't get Moko Black by the glass and smoke from people eating outside was being blown into the restaurant but otherwise great service lovely food and ambience.

User

Over priced for very bland food. Left the restaurant hungry and ended up getting a five guys after! Would never go back.

User

I ordered the duck, I got pork, spinach was sand. Tips inclusion of a bill, but for such a poor service do not want to leave tips.
