Kokon To Zai Description

Conceived in 2003, KTZ is a contemporary London-based fashion label under the creative direction of Marjan Pejoski and management of Sasko Bezovski. In 1996 the pair opened the shop Kokon to Zai in Soho as a hybrid music and fashion store, which became a platform for creative projects, showcased cutting edge designers and produced the label KTZ.

KTZ designs men’s and women’s ready-to-wear clothing with couture detailing known for its raw energy and contemporary urban edge, but also for embracing ethnographic references and multiculturalism.

The KTZ label creates a dynamic combination of contrasting elements: modernity and the ancestral, the secular and the religious, anarchy and severity, spectacle and depth. This makes a unique label identity that is recognized widely and is worn by pioneering personalities in other creative industries, in art and music.

Hi there, I adore your clothes and I had a bad situation with one of your t-shirt but your team exchanged the t-shirt for a new one and I'm super grateful for that. Customer service could a bit faster, especially online, but you know... ;-) Keep up with the good work guys! :)

User

stealing sacred designs? what's your problem? can't just be a lack of imagination, i'd wager it's more along the lines of being such assholes that you can't be bothered to respect other cultures.

User

Your ripping off of Shaman Ava's design is shameful. You would hate it if someone did this to you. You need to make amends for your dishonesty.

User

Yes rip off company, taking so many designs all u have to do is watch the KTZ AW15 video and see how many designs from ancient people because u cant think of your own.

User

Tsk tsk. Such blatant thievery. Stealing a sacred family design and presenting it as your own, selling it for C$900+. Disgusting, KTZ. The only thing trendy here is the sacrilege and douchiness.

User

There is a difference between paying respect to other artists and cultures, it's another to directly rip off and appropriate indigenous peoples' art and history. What you've done is not only disrespectful, but it's down right disgusting how you've been profiting nearly 1K per sweater from something you've stolen. You should be ashamed of yourself, and also, did you REALLY think this would never come back to you? I'd say that your arrogance is funny, but it's actually just sad.

User

Such appalling thing to steal the design of Native Inuits for the capitalist production of a sweater.

The design wasn't created for mass production, it is a sacred emblem of protection for Ava.

If I can rate 0 (zero) stars üåü I would!

User

So do you actually have an original thought? Or do you just steal what ever you wish. Stealing sacred designs and commercializing them is despicable.

User

So disrespectful, OUTRIGHT STEALING from indigenous people and selling it as if its your own design. Disgusting. I can only imagine that the designer and company have nothing in their own lives that feel meaningful and sacred, so they think it's ok to steal sacred images from others.

User

Ripping off religious designs from indigenous people, and selling the sweater at $840? Who's disgusting enough to buy this?

KTZ, can't think of any original design yourself, so you have to rip off designs from people who were so ripped off historically in many ways? I believe if someone did that to you, you'd whip out a lawsuit so fast. You should get sued.

User

Paid for a polo shirt 10 days ago and they charged £20 delivery and handling which I thought was a bit steep, I hadn't received it so rang the store and they said there had been a delay but my goods were on their way.

Next day got an email to say the item I had paid for 10 days ago was out of stock and would I like a refund!!!!!! 10 days they have had my money and I wonder if I hadn't rang what would have happened, shocking and shouldn't be allowed!

User

I'd really like to know how many other designs you, as a company, have pilfered from other indigenous families? Whilst you've confessed to stealing the sacred design belonging to the Inuit family of Salome Awa, now might be a good opportunity to show your hand and be completely transparent before more families realise you've culturally misappropriated their designs for your own financial profit.

To do this to the family of Salome Awa is beneath contempt. Plagiarism is one of the worst kinds of theft, but to steal the sacred protection these designs gave to those who created them is abhorrent. I have made as many people aware of your frankly tawdry actions, and neither them nor I will ever buy anything from your company in the future.

User

I think it's pretty disgusting that you blatantly stole a family's design and are trying to profit off of it. You should be ashamed but I know you're not because you copied a design and had no qualms about it. Hope karma bits you in the a**

User

I can't believe you would steal from indigenous cultures that have already had so much taken. This collection (because it was more than one sweater's design that was stolen)is shameful.

User

Every single dollar that you made from selling these items should go to the families that you stole the designs from.

User

Dishonest and pathetic. There are so many people and companies worth giving your hard earned dollars to--this isn't one of them.

User

Cultural appropriation of indigenous designs - neo- colonial bullshit! Taking from a people that have already had everything taken from them through mass genocide and colonialism.. Making huge profits while the community you've stolen from occupies A position of marginalization- many living in poverty, fighting for rights and land and restitution. Not to mention that if your white and wear this you look dumb as HELL!

User

$840 for a sweater is ridiculous. Anything for a stolen design is theft. The right thing to do is apologize and make amends. Do it now please.
