The UK’s least relevant literary salon returns with Christopher Bliss Thursday 13 September!
A charming misfit who will mete out totally unwarranted feedback on novelist's work and improve classic literature, whilst turtleneck-clad literature clad Luke Courtier will be on hand with excellent footnotes and a stonking claret.

#ThrowbackThursday to next week back in 2005 when we had not one but two HUGE comedians performing at #Krater Comedy Club - Michael McIntyre AND RHOD GILBERT!
I you had to pick just one, who would you choose and why?

User

User

We arrived and greeted made to feel welcome shown & seated to our table , we were looking forward to the New act night Jill Edwards comedy in which our son was appearing , along with 12 acts , great atmosphere ,show sold out , well organised friendly staff bar, door , good food & drink a little over priced but made up for a great brilliant evening , will go again for more comedy nights thank you :)

User

Was looking for comedy nights and ended up here based on a recommendation from a local friend!

It cost £28 for 2 of us including a booking fee.

Doors opened from 7 and it started at 8.

We arrived about 7.30 and the atmosphere was already bustling! Many people were eating and making a full night of it. It finished at 10.15.

There was a compère, the first act, an interval, 2 more acts, a second interval and the final act.

All 5 comedians were completely different and all hilarious in their own right.

I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

User

Shame there is no mention of the comedy lock in with the noise next door! Great night.

User

Played at Komedia last night. The staff really looked after us and we felt very welcome. The audience where in fine form too. Thanks to all involved in the Purple Jimi gig last night.

User

I’m always treated so well, you can tell the staff really care about the shows and the customers. And my kids love coming to the family events.

User

I held an event at the Komedia last Friday and it was a huge success! This was all thanks to wonderful people who work at the Komedia, helping us to prepare for months leading up to the event.

The venue was lovely and cosy, the technicians were incredible helpful and kind, the bar staff went the extra mile for everyone - what more could you want from a place?

Would definitely recommend using the Komedia to hold your event or even just to go and watch a show/gig there!

User

Great show wih a real mix of local talent . We sat towards the back and we're worried we would lose some of the atmosphere however this wasn't the case. Had a really good night will definitely be visiting again

User

First time there last night, the food was great, the comedians were all amazing!! And the staff were lovely!! Would really recommend an evening here xx thanx for an amazing night we will definitely be back xx

User

User

Best night I’ve had in a long time ! A night full of laughter and very reasonably priced

User

Amazing night at Kanda bongo man, brilliant atmosphere, sound, staff.

We always have such a great time at Komedia- thank you!

User

Absolutely fantastic!!!! We were a family of 9, and we tried this place for the first time on Saturday night, they had some idiot in the audience who tried to ruin the show but the comedians totally shut him up which was hilarious!! We were in stitches and we would definitely come again!

User

A wonderful warm reception, friendly and helpful staff with a great ambiance all crammed into a cosy venue. We will be back Komedia.

User

Comics were fantastic, great venue but food was awful! Will definitely come again but will just buy ticket without food.

User

4 comics. All men. Quite a laddish atmosphere at times. I wonder if any equality information is monitored by the venue? Stephen Grant excellent though.

We’re at the Krater Comedy Club tonight at Komedia Brighton - and just wanted to let you all know, make double sure they know you’re vegan! We called beforehand and had Groupon tickets (we’ve been gifted) - everyone was super friendly and we’ve been told that it won’t be a problem making the veggie burger vegan. Well... arriving tonight I’ve first been told a firm NO at the bar, then after explaining that we called beforehand etc. the bar keeper checked with the kitchen and apparently wasn’t an issue at all. Finally we received a patty, no bread (apparently they been out of vegan bread??), some salad, hummus and fries on the side. No attempt or offer to give us anything else (e.g. swap to the jackfruit Hot Dog!) or even a complimentary extra portion of fries...

tickets have a value of £48 and I know the food isn’t their main “event” but a little upset still about this... Especially if you look at their menu which looks so promising!!!

User

What an awful night. The bouncers were rude & aggressive shouting at everyone when it was the bad set up of 2 club nights going on at once that was at fault. Sort it out. A friend whose birthday it was night was ruined & i'll never go back. As a lesser but also worthy point, Boogie Wonderland did not play the music advertised & would have been much more fun if it had.

User

Customer services is awful I’ve already told friends 50 plus have already said they will not attend . I would never recommend this place I got no choice this time but it will be hundreds with my contacts but I fully recommend the night club in Eastbourne good customer service excellent there . Go there instead they appreciate your booking more
