Konjaku Shin National School Of Karate

I was fortunate enough to attend a training course run by Sensei Dave Kershaw; what an amazing instructor! He was clear, confident, knowledgeable and extremely patient. We all came away feeling that we had learnt something worthwhile. If you live close enough to be able to attend his weekly classes then you are very lucky. Karate at it's best.

I started training at the Konjaku Shin Karate school back in 1984 when I was 17. I now run my own club down in Bristol and have Sensei Kershaw down to teach my own students.
Konjaku Shin offers world-class tuition from one of the finest Instructors around and has classes to suit children and adults of all ages, with classes available on many evenings.
If you want to learn Karate/Self-defence then I couldn't recommend this club highly enough.

I have been trained by Sensei Dave Kershaw since the age of 16 and I am still his student at 37. At the moment I work away from home so I have to train with other recommended instructors but in my professional opinion I don't get the same level of tuition. Apart from the dojo being so traditional the high level of expert training from one of the best instructors in the country. Sensei Dave Kershaw is in a league of his own and Is admired emmensely by all of his true LOYAL students anyone thinking of joining this club should do so you will learn and gain so much not just in strength but in the mind too. It will make you a better person altogether unfortunately some people need more than karate some people need a shrink I have put my comments on here because I'm disgusted how a former student can come on here and bad mouth Sensei and the club you would not be the grade you are today PAUL if it wasn't for Sensei apart from being small minded you have a very short memory after all you have been taught over the years you have obviously learnt NOTHING!!!!!!!

I consider myself to be a true karate ka and as such would not normally lower myself to aiming personal comments at people. However, I don’t think that Sensei Kershaw will be losing much sleep over comments made by a former student that never even had the discipline to complete a session properly. I have trained under Sensei Kershaw since 1994 and have been graded by Hanshi Asano to my current rank of 2nd Dan. I have also participated in several other sports over the years and have never come across an instructor as good or experienced as Sensei Dave Kershaw. We have one of the finest Dojo’s in the world and are treated to world class karate instruction 6 days a week. I can think of five other clubs in the area were the chief instructors were trained by Sensei Kershaw, I don’t think any more needs to be said!

First rate Instructor(s), and first rate facilities, I don't need to say much more than that.. although I would like to get my 2 pence in regarding the very silly, childish review that Paul decided to write in which he has completely made an idiot of himself for the entire world to see.. GROW UP PAUL!.
