When ever anyone hears that i live a vegan lifestyle and follow a vegan diet, the question that i get is "where do you get your protein?" and to be honest i want to face palm every time i hear that... And I'm sure that every single vegan on planet earth has been asked this question at least once!
But the sad truth is that people are simply not educated enough when it comes to nutrition and health. When it is true that some Vegans are unhealthy and overweight and that is beca...use they follow a "junk food vegan diet" when they still have all the processed, sugary, oily foods. This is where vegans get a reputation of being low on protein, iron and other nutrients.
The real healthy Vegan diet is High Carbohydrate and low fat. There are numerous health benefits of following a whole food plant based diet, and there is a great article on this topic that i think everyone should give a read!
