Door staff violently man handled me, my partner and my family! (Pensioner part of the party)

Out in Sheffield for my birthday and decided to visit Kuckoo. Whilst inside with my partner and family, a security guy approached my partner, stating he had warned my partner for vaping on 3 occasions, though this was a lie. I asked for the manager to speak with us and although we explained to him that the security guy was mistaken. The manager had no authority or control over the situation. The manager then proceeded to allow the security guy to violently push and man handle me, my partner and members of my family down the steep stairway. Outside, another security guy became involved, violently grabbing hold of me and my partner, and again, pushed us away from the entrance. Several witnesses names and numbers were taken and complaint being logged with the company and SIA.

In what appeared to be a nice bar, we never expected this. However, we strongly feel our health and safety was totally compromised at the hands of these staff.

You should be ashamed of yourselves Kuckoo! You never get the second chance to make a first impression. We are totally and utterly appalled!

If it was possible to award this place zero stars I would have done so.

Great place to finish the night off. Loads of dancing. Staff all welcoming, DJ played my request tracks. Being a DJ myself, he was very clear and professional on the microphone. Warmed the crowed and everyone had a great night.

Amazing atmosphere and excellent choice of cocktails and drinks. Maybe a little pricey but it’s worth it as they’re full of alcohol rather than ice. Also the bar staff also put on the occasional fire show. Very entertaining

Crazy place. Distinctive decor and extensive own cocktail menu. Efficient staff which is good as it's very busy.

Seemed like mostly rock music while I was there and the decor was all rock albums.

I had a rainbow road and it was a nice change from the herby offerings at the botanist.

This place is an experience, it has a real quirky indy vibe and the decor is like nothing I've seen before. The cocktails selection is great and the staff seem to be having as much fun as the customers which adds plenty of theatre.

Lovely staff but disappointing cocktails. Yes they sound lovely on the menu. Yes the staff take their time preparing them...Tom Cruise tricks included. But at £7.50 a time, all you're paying for is a glass full of ice cubes, small amount of fruit juice, drop of alcohol and 2 raspberries. The glasses they are served in are horrible - small chubby tumblers. I expected a nice tall elegant cocktail glass like I've had in other bars. We were a party of 4 and went in intending to spend the night sipping cocktails - we only had the one and left.

Great square in the city centre surrounded by bars and restaurants, seating area which is perfect for sitting outside in the summer.

Botanist brilliant cocktails and a fantastical dreamy place you have got to vist even just to enjoy the look of the place

This is one of the best looking places in an otherwise very dismal Sheffield city centre. Good choices of restaurants and bars
