Tonight's beauty is from the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Tender lamb kurri balancing sweet red peppers and hot red chillis. Cumin, coriander, cardoman seeds, tamarind and garlic add depth to the dish which is slow cooked and finished with coconut cream. Our best selling kurri £8.50 Inc plain rice. Sticking with the British theme, tonight's special is a 19th century kurri brought to the UK from our colonial days in Eastern India. Chicken thighs with a marinade paste of Cumin, coriander and brown mustard seeds, fresh ginger and cider vinegar add acidity to the delicate spice flavour and yellow lentils and natural yoghurt thicken the sauce. Outstanding.

Evening All. Kurri kurri is sorry to announce that Tom Jordan failed in his attempt at our Goa pork vindaloo. Tom requested yoghurt and milk to see him through the fiery beast but the milk is a no no as far as we are concerned and Tom has the honour of being the first addition to our wall of shame. Great sport Tom.

Tom Jordan took on the Goa pork vindaloo at Kurri kurri tonight. Unfortunately Tom is the first member on the wall of shame for pulling a glass of milk out half way through. Chicken korma next time we think. Thanks Tom for being a sport.

Outstanding.

So we took a chicken tikka masala, a thai yellow pork kurri and a lamb bhuna, in fact any kurri from our menu, mixed in some pilau rice, added a bit of salad and wrapped it all up in a 12" chapatti and there you have it 'The Kurrito' Available now at Kurri kurri.
