It was lovely to meet editor Andrew Denny Waterways World before Christmas, his knowledge in the canal boat sector is unmatched. He was impressed with the innovative design of our KwikFold Xite bike when he was boating down the Rochdale Nine in Central Manchester. It was an honor to have Andrew contact us and for him to want to visit us and see our bikes and a privilege for his kind feature on their latest product focus page. One show that was on our list a top priority was the London Bike Show, and in 2018 with the launch of a new model we thought we'd head back to the bustling city of London to exhibit our unique folding bike and electric folding bikes.

Ive had a Exite 3 for a few weeks now. After much research this was the only bike that ticked all my boxs. Im very pleased with the bike, but there are a few advisory notes I want to share. (1) The folding mechanism is very simple and kwik, however, I made the mistake of trying to pull the bike up as high as possible with the fold-up lever and then securing it with the catch. After a few days of this I developed a painfull shoulder, and realised it was my folding technique that was to blame. My new and safer technique is to pull the folding lever only half way up, then, when keeping my hand on the folding lever, I stand behind the bike to steady it, and then grip the steering stem and pull the bike together this way before secuing the latch. (2) I fitted a throttle to the bike as my health condition would prefer I avoid even minimal cycling action. However, when I was maneuvering the folded bike around the supermarket, I accidentally put pressure on the throttle and the bike took off and launched itself into a supermarket trolly. So, the moral of that story is - Always turn the battery off if you are standing or walking the bike in folded or open mode, when throttle is fitted. I must admit Im still laughing about that one. Overall the Xite 3 performs better than expected. Im actually using it as a mobility scooter...

I love my Kwik good xite2, reliable and great fun ­¤śŹ just folds up and goes in the back of my citreon C1 along with my girlfriend (she doesn't fold)­¤śé

I do love this bike, it looks so much better than anything out there.



it is heavy but it means for a better workout and its so damn smooth, ie no banging/clicking nothing just smooth so good you can hardly hear the motor.



the one issue is the front light though. although its bright its all hooked into the rear battey with the horn, so if you try and adjust it in the dark *snap* as the body is so cheap and nasty. you cant take it away as you have no bell or horn and anything can get behind the casing ie i have a stray dog hair.



i can get 12mph max but when i bought it did say 'up to 15mph' i was hoping for more
